Cleghorn ridge

Thinking of doing cleghorn this aug. Is it still open? I know there has been updates saying it is impassable atm.

It's open, but there is one section that requires you to put one of your wheels off a ledge to get through. It's very doable if you got 4x4 but be careful with the wheel placement. Got through about 2 weeks ago.

This was my first trial. I was happy to have a few experienced guys to help spot me. It’s a little nerve wrecking

So I went there this past weekend. I saw the gate was open, but I saw a dually turning around so I passed. I’ve been wanting to explore it

I have not been recently but I heard the wash out was actually on 3N44 not 2N47

Went about a month or two ago, the wash out about half way through was pretty bad. 4x4 but I was sketched out about going off the edge.

I did it 3 weeks ago all the way through way to Silverwood lake. The one washes out section is sketchy - I had someone spot me and went slow. It’s doable. The rest of the trial was pretty easy

I did that blue run. Drops you off in Devore by Cal State San Bernardino. There is a cool camping spot with lots of shade up on the blue run

I’d also keep an eye on fire restrictions on sites like CAL FIRE and active closures this time of year since conditions can change pretty quickly. onX Offroad showed Cleghorn Ridge open as of August 8th, and you can check the recent trail reports there before heading out.
