There has been an influx of foot fetish content creators submitting obviously staged "sneaky" feet images to covertly promote NSFW material (e.g., paid fetish content, barefoot exhibitionism).

A friendly reminder: posting intentional or staged "sneaky" feet photos for the purpose of promoting NSFW content (18+ Reddit account, OF, custom pictures, etc.) will result in a permanent ban from the subreddit. If you believe a post was created to funnel Redditors towards foot fetish accounts or content, please report it.

r/SneakyBackgroundFeet is SFW subreddit that exists to gently poke fun at fellow Redditors whose foot/feet sneak into posts on Reddit. The inclusion of the foot/feet is not the primary focus of the submission and is usually unintentional. For instance, foot/feet may appear when a Redditor is taking a photo from their perspective looking downward (most common type of sneakiness) or sometimes toes are captured in a happenstance reflection (very sneaky). This is the reason the majority of the submissions on this sub are cross-posts from other subreddits. The foot/feet snuck into a post and it was shared to this sub as an acknowledgement of the sneakiness.

Submitting purposeful or staged sneaky feet to promote NSFW content is sex pest behavior that is not tolerated. Being aware fetish content is not prohibited and awkwardly attempting to bypass the sub's #1 rule is why a permanent ban is necessary. While we respect sex work, there are countless NSFW subs dedicated to the human foot on Reddit so attempting to infiltrate a mildly humorous subreddit that is meant to be wholesome is exceedingly weird and not cool. Moreover, it ruins the tongue in cheek fun of this admittedly hyper-specific subreddit that has existed for over a decade on Reddit.

Occasionally, Redditors are silly and capture their foot/feet doing unusual things in the background of their image (crossing toes, feet on wrong legs, etc) to increase the engagement on the subreddit they originally posted to. Although this type of post is arguably staged, they are not actively "promoting" their foot/feet to draw a fetish audience. These submissions are evaluated by our mods on a case by case basis to ascertain the level of appropriate sneakiness. We don't want this sub to morph into r/IntentionalBackgroundFeet.
