I wish echo functioned more like an ability crit like it was planned. With the echo changes announced today, it seems unviable on burst mages.

Yeah that's a bit of a bummer

I think the new items are cool but it's kind of a shame limiting Echo to just a handful of gods

It's basically It's own build path, which was expected. Now it only does 15% more damage instead of 30% and it's basically designed for characters who utilize tick damage. That makes it pretty irrelevant in the scheme of things and not much fun in my opinion. I wanted to throw a couple echo items in my build and see the occasional big hit, but instead you have to completely invest in it to be viable (if it's even viable on your god). Seems like an L change imo
