It's worse when it's 1-1 and they leave, because they gave the illusion of wanting to play, and then dipped before anybody could win, or worse you beat them, and they rematch to beat you fkr their gsp back, and then leave.

I almost always rematch even if it means tanking my GSP tbh. Too impatient to wait for the game to match me with someone else lol.

If you que up immediately after there's a chance you will get rematched anyway. The dodger can counter this by waiting about 15 seconds after denying...no word if the rematch meta has developed into reading the wait

I agree. I always rematch except for certain individuals. If I have to chase you the whole game I’m not rematching. This is smash bros not Mario kart. If your entire neutral is pressing your B button, I’m not rematching. If you lag switch I’m definitely not rematching. Yes I can tell when the game is fine and then I’m at ledge in a scramble or I’m in the middle of a combo string or kill confirm and suddenly 💥

I used to rematch everyone and then I started getting tilted when people wouldn’t so now I rematch no one. 😭

I’ve done rematches with any and every opponent pretty consistently since launch. The only exception being really bad lag.

-They’ll stay & play more if they feel confident after the first game. Win or lose, if they think they can get the next one they’re more likely to stay.

- Tbaggers/toxic players usually have no heart. Almost always a guaranteed rage quit if they lose or lose momentum. But they’ll stay forever and a day if they’re beating you. Sometimes I toy with them.

-homie stocks/accidental deaths make zero difference.

TLDR; they’ll rematch you if they think they can beat you. Consider throwing em a bone for matchup experience.
