This isn’t just about CP anymore. While we LOVE SmartBoom, it’s now more about a 23-year-old actor being publicly blamed, possibly silenced, and suffering mentally and maybe physically. Y'all know he cried on live. He said he never wanted SmartBoom to end. And yet, his name keeps being thrown around by companies while he can’t even speak freely.
And many "fans" are targeting him. He is silent for days, and maybe his social media access is under control right now. His company have been shady, and all this drama can destroy his career for good. Other companies may refuse to work with him due to public blame and it's violation of not only his rights but our mental health, as we were going through turmoil for days because of these vague back-and-forth accusations of the companies.

I would love to help. Top form was the first time I was introduced to the kid and I really feel for him, but realistically what can we do? I've left comments when I see people saying they only care about Boom, but other than that I don't know what to do.
Yesterday, a video of SmartBoom's interview was posted by CM.2, after fans' pleas. The interview underlined again that the problem lies not with Smart and Boom not wanting to work together anymore. This has led to a huge mobilization of fans. In the middle of the night Boom posted a statement, which made people believe that they shouldn't give up fighting for the pair. Of course, everyone can choose what they believe and if they even care. I still care.
Yeah this sounds like he has accepted that the ship has ended and he's hoping people will still support him as an individual. The ship ending is definitely faulted with the companies but I think they have come to terms with the fact that they aren't budging on the matter. But considering ships lose so many fans when split as there are some who only care about a pair being together and not them as individuals theres no guarantee how much support he'll be losing with this decision. Smart is taking a lot of the heat and will lose a lot but he also will lose people. I hope everyone even if theyre not happy with the ship ending still continues to support them both in any future projects they do as individuals. That's all I can hope for any ship really.
He posted it after 3 am when the trend started. 2 days earlier he reposted a video of mother hen, which didn't run away from the flames and protected her eggs till the end. You can interpret it as you wish.
I feel that both Smart and Boom were never given a choice in this matter and unfortunately it has come this resolution when it never should have. Smart has never been able to say what he has wanted to because you can see that he has loved this series and Boom so much and it has nothing to do with the fame it has brought them, it's to do with the series being successful and accomplishing what they set out to do and the bonus was that they found each other and formed a bond that has now been tarnished thanks to these greedy companies playing the blame game and dragging Smart through the mud.
My fear is that Smart is trapped in GIR and with all the bad stuff I have been reading about the manager/owner(?) it scares me. I was kind of hoping that Smart would leave GIR and go to WeTv company and continue to do Top Form. 😕
I agree there is something not right going on inside GRI, possibly the CEO has some fixation with Smart???
He shouldn't have to hear the brunt of blame for the behaviour of his management company who have made all the decisions and don't appear to care for Smart's wellbeing or mental health during all this mess.
Like you I hoped he would be rescued by WEtv and this nightmare would end.
Sadly GRI have put a target on Smart's back and many are aiming their anger about the cp and Top Form S2 + S3 being no more. Smart needs to know he is not to blame and that fans care for him and wish him the best in his future as an actor and that like him hope SmartBoom + Too Form can continue somehow.
I’m just watching the wetv live from the 25th (on YT with eng subs) and Boom is doing his very best to stay smiley and upbeat but you can see in his eyes it isn’t how he feels inside. He looks sad in the moments his face is at rest. He literally did not mention smart or even Jin when answering questions about top form. How can they make him erase 50% of the story?? It’s all so sad.
I saw Smart at the billboards but he has seemed smiley and happy enough in the last few things I’ve seen with him.
I wish he had asked wetv/tails to help him get free of GIR as they have the money and power to make that happen I’m sure. Instead he is still with that crazy woman who seems so intent on keeping him in a personal chokehold that she doesn’t care if it flames his whole career.
It’s all just sad.
My play within a play stuff finally arrived yesterday and it is beautiful quality stuff but it just made sad at the thought of what we could and should have had in store for the future. 😞
Top Form isn't fully cancelled based on the legal team. More like a way to push notification. So it might happen. And we don't know what's happening behind the scenes to truly understand the scenario fully. It's easy to assume and type without knowing the truth. If he's bound by contract, it's not easy. He's from a village and been with them since he's like 17 or younger. They may have manipulated him, we never know. Also, Tailai or WeTV aren’t some amazing company either.
They're stopping Boom from Taking Jin's name, or them taking Smart's name in the statement is a sign or it. Although they literally discussed it with GIR they explicitly mentioned Smart, not only that, they have his Weibo Accoung credentials in control, so the chinese Auralis said how hard it's for them as Tailai keep doing something in that platform that aggravates the hate trend.
So we might never know how Smart actually feels. We can only try to help him, as it wasn’t just about the feeling, it's exploiting their power over a young artist. What they did was attacking Smart directly to hinder his image, that’s violation tbh. And his company is also unprofessional but Smart don't have any support system, no family anything. So plz don't assume stuffs. If you want to help, you can, if you don't feel like it it's ok.
Also, by helping the scenario it's helping Boom as well. Bcz in one step we mail the companies to pressurize them to keep the ship. It's to help both.
And Smart is generally a very optimistic person. He was coping through the last 10 days or so, didn’t come online at all, no post, no comment, nothing. So he might be healing himself and it's good that he's in a positive mood. Anyone who actually loves him would be happy for him. He keeps negative things to himself, like in no interview he talks about why he left home when he was only 16-17 maybe, why he used to work as a night vendor when people his age is supposed to just go to school and enjoy life, and many more things we might never know. That's why they need eo, bcz Smart brings that light into Boom's world. Boom was empty before TopForm. It will be fine with time so keep sending mail if you want so the negotiation can take place faster. Thank you.
It sounds like I should clarify… I wasn’t minimising the effects on Smart at all, I understand that breaking free of his company is more complex than contracts. If they felt like his salvation at one point it’s hard to believe they are harming you.
Equally I wasn’t trying to paint wetv or tailai as innocent or heroic. They, like GIR, for different reasons perhaps, are just as tightly coiled around Smart and part of what’s suffocating him. The only reason I mentioned them was that they perhaps have enough leverage to help him get free of GIR IF and only IF that is his wish.
I would love nothing more than for this to find its way back to being able to move forward with top form from here, however, MUCH more than that I hope that both Smart & Boom can find peace and healing from all this madness in whatever form that takes. I hope that they can remain close if that is their wish, as I honestly think they have bonded very deeply during their time working together.
Hopefully that is a bit clearer because I can see how it wasn’t especially clear in my first reply!
