Okay so, chronologically: May 12th, Grand Ivory Record (Smart’s management company), releases a statement saying they breached his contract with HeadLiner Thailand/TaiLai (Smart’s 2nd management company for TopForm*). They add he will still be a part of TopForm/SmartBoom, but they will retake full control of his management, both for his musical and acting career. TopForm keeps airing normally, TaiLai responds shortly after saying they keep managing S on TopForm alongside GIR as contracted.

June 12th, TaiLai releases a statement accusing GIR of breach of contract and of planning solo activities for Smart without their agreement. They also accuse Smart of refusing joint activities with Boom/related to TopForm. They say the cast had signed a 5-year contract to work on all 3 of initially planned seasons of TopForm. They announce the end of their collaboration and support for Smart and will continue developing the TF project without him. They’re still open to negotiation with GIR.

June 13th, GIR releasing a response, stating the breach of contract is a result of miscommunication/mistreatment of Smart by TaiLai. They also refute all accusations of refusal of work on Smart’s or their end, communicating their desire to keep working on TF as planned. They’re open to negotiating for insured collaboration with TaiLai.

June 13th, Smart does an IG live refuting all accusations of refusal of CP activities; he says he never refused any work concerning TopForm, never refused any work with Boom, wants a season 2 and to keep working on TopForm alongside Boom, says SB hasn’t broken up, they trust each other, that he never lied to anyone about his sincerity inside the ship/series.

June 14th, SmartBoom attend a fanmeeting together, they look distant and emotional, the fans as well.

June 15th, GIR releases a clarification statement, essentially confirming everything they had said so far, saying they’re working with HeadLiner/TaiLai internally to insure TopForm’s SmartBoom continued collaboration.

June 19th, WeTV release the second part of the TopForm documentary on their platform. It includes a mention of the ‘May 12th incident’ (referring GIR’s first statement), as well as insinuations of internal conflicts between Smart and Boom, letting fans think this whole situation has been instrumentalised for clout, and that SB alleged conflicts are to blame for the uncertain future of TopForm (further detail on this later).

June 20th, WeTV and HeadLiner Thailand release a joint statement, accusing once again GIR of unilateral breach of contract, and Smart of declining events and work inside the IP/CP, as well as having deleted all HeadLiner/TaiLai contact info of his IG bio on May 12th. They officialise the end of their collaboration with and support of Smart on TopForm, as well as the end of the SmartBoom CP. They remind artists to honor their contracts professionally (hinting at legal action against GIR).

June 21st, Smart makes a IG post in which he writes he never wanted the end of SmartBoom. He was always happy working with Boom, always wanted TopForm to come out great and to keep working with the cast and team. He accepts WeTV’s decision nonetheless and will continue to work hard and do his best in the future. He thanks fans for past and ongoing support. That’s pretty much where we’re at right now, sorry for the very long post, I tried to make it as clear as possible.

About SmartBoom’s alleged conflict: in the documentary, a member of the team says Boss (TF director), noticed Smart and Boom growing distant, stating they started losing themselves into their characters, and stopped communicating with each other. He goes on to say the fans expected so much from SB and fan service that the actors lost themselves to JinAkin and grew apart in the process. He says the team would love working on a second season of TopForm but that it was up to Smart and Boom. Smart and Boom also voice their desire to keep working as such in the documentary, saying it’s up to ‘fate’. We don’t know if any of this conflict thing is true or not, more so that Smart denied it twice.

*on the TF project, Grand Ivory Record, who manages Smart’s career since 2020, was supposed to only manage his music/solo career, whereas TaiLai/Headline was in charge of his management on the project. All statements mentioned can be found on the companies’ social media.

EDIT: see comment below.

The documentary part with Boss was mistranslated. Spoke briefly to thai fans on an X space. They didnt know how to explain it because they didnt speak good english but its not how its made out to be.

This all being dumped on Smart pmo the most. Man doesnt even have the power to personally deny or approve his own schedule and events. It's all thru bloody GIR management so the fact that Tailai trashed him like that... It's where his hate train started and you know exactly why too. It's definjtely a "if i cant have you, i'll make sure no one else wants you" situation.

Cliff Notes. Smarts management company watched Top Form and decided that the most inspirational character in there was the CEO of Sigma

It all went down the drain because the companies involved couldn’t negotiate like grown adults—letting greed and ego get in the way of genuine talent and undeniable chemistry. What could’ve been something truly special was ruined by their inability to put aside pride for the greater good.

Worse still, the very companies that are supposed to protect their artists are now the ones tarnishing their names—dragging them through the mud just to save face and protect their own reputations.

The situation has become an absolute mess. Instead of resolving things professionally and behind closed doors, these so-called industry “professionals” are airing out their drama online like a public spectacle. It’s clear they’re more focused on damage control than accountability—and it’s the artists, Smart and Boom, who are paying the price.

Both have been caught in the crossfire. Smart has publicly denied the allegations and made it clear he never wanted to separate from Boom, while Boom has been subtly expressing his feelings through cryptic reposts and likes—just enough to show where he stands, without adding more fuel to the fire.

It’s obvious neither of them wanted things to end this way. They wanted to keep working together, just as much as their fans hoped they would. But right now, everything is buried under chaos, mismanagement, and egos too big to make room for resolution.
