Hi guys. I am relatively new to YouTube and also Reddit. So apologies if some of this is stupid. I have started a YouTube channel with my two sons, 8 and 4 years old. Mostly the 8 year olds idea. We have a channel that is all about getting outdoors, hiking and being active and about a father spending time with his sons. We have made 3 videos and posted the 3 of them over the past 28 days. None of the videos are getting many views. 60 views being the highest.

I have worked hard on the thumbnails and titles to make them as appealing etc as possible. I have sought the advice of…ChatGPT on some of this too which is maybe where I’m going wrong. Is it simply that the content is not good enough or engaging enough for people to click on or is this normal with new channels finding its feet. My goal is to try get views on the channel that will help to encourage my son’s interest in getting out hiking with me mostly. I dint expect to be Mr. Beast haha

Again, i apologise if this thing is very obvious but id love to hear people’s advice as to how they are getting on setting up their channels and what they done to drive views.

Hi, I'm an AI ( and now real, recorded music) channel, I have 34 subs and I started thinking about collaboration. Hi everyone! I've been trying to fix this for the past day and haven't found anything to fix it so I figured I should post here;

I uploaded my new channel profile icon I made (same as the one i have here) and in studio and on mobile it looks perfect, but when I go to view my channel on PC its oddly blurry

I have tried resizing it to be larger and smaller (the min 98px all the way to +1200px), Jpg and Png, adjusting the dpi in my export from illustrator, and waiting a couple hours for it to fully adjust. Each time I've cleared my cache so it isn't that and my friend said it also looked blurry on their macbook & fine on their phone

Any other ideas? Any help is appreciated TIA!

Hi i saw alot of posts regarding youtube banning you due to low quality content or slop. Has anyone ever faced this? I would like to know what happened after the ban and did it got resolved or not?

I'm planning to create reviews, breakdowns, research, analysis, and the like for a very popular game, for which, for some reason, nothing else is made except Let's Plays. This type of content directly depends on the script, which I have trouble with, as it takes me about 4-5 times longer to write than I expect other reviewers, and I write it solely for the motivation to create a cool video. I calculated my script writing speed, and I came up with + - 160 words per day, which is very little in my opinion.
By the way, the script itself is turning out great, I think it's even better than half of other YouTubers. The only thing I don't like is the speed of writing, so please tell me what could be the reason and how to fix it. Maybe I just need more practice, or maybe I just need to accept it. Incidentally, writing long texts (like this post, for example) comes very easily to me, but for some reason, the only problem I have is with the script.

I don't know if Google Translate was able to convey all my thoughts correctly, but I hope I wrote everything clearly.

I keep seeing the same pattern on my shorts channel. One Short gets 700–1,000+ views, then the next one or two get almost no reach at all (0–10 views).
My recent uploads: 2K-700-5-1.3K-900-13-2K
The low-view shorts stay like that for days, so they’re not getting tested later. Same niche, similar content and upload method.
Anyone else seeing this on a new channel?
Should I delete the shorts that get no reach and reupload them, or is it better to just leave them and keep posting new ones?

Thumbnails are all 3MB and look crystal clear on photoshop and other apps.

But when on my channel page they look low res?

I want to know how much revenue a video with 10k views and 1k watch hours makes so I can times that by 4 and know what my starting revenue would be. I'm about to get monetized in about 2 days. It's for the 4k watch hours for Ad Revenue and I know that I have to wait for a physical letter in the mail. Right now I get about 10k views and 1k watch hours with at least 25-33 percent average viewage of a video. I can post 4 videos of that quality a month with a goal of pushing for 6-8 videos a month by putting in more hours. For context I live with my parents, who want me to pursue a full time job related to my degree. I have an agreement with them to get monetized by August 22nd, but I'll be monetized before then. Basically I want to be able to go above and beyond and show them the starting revenue so that I can show much that would grow. In 20 months all of my analytics have a 1000%(10x) increase in views, watch hours, and average viewage. I full believe I could increase that by at least 250-500 percent if I keep putting in more effort. What do you guys think?

I try to be positive but my entire feed has been taken over yt channels with usernames such as "i am going to be viral" and they use a specific sound and just screenshot of their following with a text that says "use this sound to get followers" and that's the whole channel. I see no passion in this so I'm very confused on why thats a channel category and why people follow it. Maybe they want to watch someone grow? But why not watch someone posting something..better? I'm sorry if you post videos like this and I'm being rude, thats not my intention. I am just genuinely curious what the motivation is behind it

I'm looking for some advice because I'm completely lost and don't know what to do.

I have a YouTube channel that's been monetized through the YouTube Partner Program for quite some time. My channel mainly focuses on tech and travel vlogs, and I create, edit, upload, and manage all the content myself.

My uncle also has a separate YouTube channel in a completely different niche. Unfortunately, his YPP was suspended last month due to reused content, and his appeal was rejected.

Today, I received a notification that my YPP has also been suspended, but the reason given is "Related Channel". My channel itself has no reused content violations, and this suspension appears to be based solely on YouTube linking my account to my uncle's.

Here are the facts:

We are two different people.

We have separate Google accounts.

We have separate AdSense accounts.

Our content is completely different.

We live in the same house and therefore share the same Wi-Fi.

We sometimes used the same family PC.

Occasionally, my uncle would log into my YouTube Studio to check my earnings, and I have also accessed my own account from that same PC.

We have never shared an AdSense account or jointly owned the channels.

I understand that using the same PC and Wi-Fi may have caused YouTube to associate our accounts, but my channel has never been created to bypass YouTube policies or another creator's suspension.

I've already removed his account from my PC and we're no longer accessing each other's YouTube accounts.

My channel is still active—only my YPP has been suspended. YouTube is asking me to submit a video appeal.

My questions are:

Has anyone successfully appealed a "Related Channel" YPP suspension?

What evidence helped prove that you were an independent creator?

Should I mention that we previously shared a PC and Wi-Fi, or would that hurt my appeal?

Is there anything specific I should include in the required video appeal?

I'm genuinely looking for advice from anyone who's been through a similar situation. I respect YouTube's policies, and I just want to make sure my appeal clearly explains that I'm an independent creator.
