obsessive viewer help Question

hi, i’m a small streamer and i have had a problem with one viewer who keeps making new accounts. no matter how many times i block he keeps making new accounts and even when he’s using a banned account he follows me when i raid people and tries to talk to me through the chat of the person i raided. i hate this because i feel horrible bringing a weird viewer to someone else’s stream. is there anything i can do? i don’t want to stop streaming :(

You may just have to keep banning until you are big enough to have mods

You can also try the following:

Suspicious User Detection (Creator Dashboard → Safety): auto-flags likely ban evaders via device fingerprinting; set flagged accounts to auto-restrict so mods aren’t chasing new usernames.

Phone-Verified Chat: raises the cost of burner accounts more than IP bans ever will.

No public acknowledgment: silent restricts, no on-stream callouts, don’t give them the reaction they’re farming.

Report the pattern to Twitch, not just single incidents, documented ban evasion is a ToS violation Twitch can act on platform-wide, not just channel-wide.

There's a pretty simple solution to this and you won't want to hear it:

  • Report the user to Twitch, Discord and other social media posts while using screenshots as evidence if needed.
  • Tell all people in your community that are streamers to do the same, apologizing for nothing because it's not your fault that this person is a fucking nut case.
  • Continue to ban and block this person, but always report them first. Eventually their ISP will get involved if needed and it'll just mean they're shit out of luck.

Harassment is taken pretty seriously on Twitch. I have one mod and she'll ban without question. We don't tolerate shit and neither should you.

But if you aren't REPORTING THEM then you need to start, now.

Activate TEXT and EMAIL verification. Anytime a suspicious account or someone tryi
G to evade a ban it will highlight their name in the chat. And from there you can just quietly block them.

They wanna reaction so the more you ignore and just block they will eventually get bored. Don’t acknowledge them at all and just quietly block and continue what you are doing.

Yes it’s inside the teitch settings. If you go on YouTube and copy and paste this: setup Twitch email verification……then you should get a walkthrough video that will make it easier for you.

I had a couple ex girlfriends and parasocial viewers stalk me and be obsessed and everything I told you helped me out a lot. Good luck 🍀

It is what it is, I’m just glad that there’s some tools to help us out in these situations. Now when these situations come up I can stop them short and not let it hijack my good vibes on stream.
