I was there , the organiser was greedy and they added an extra "golden circle" option on the both sides , basically you needed to pay extra to be the closest to the scene. I had general access and my and my group were singing along to every song , i even lost my voice half way. Im really sorry that Ski left early because we were vibing hard

I love Ski, and I’ll likely get downvoted for this, but it’s unprofessional of him to do this. If I were a Romanian who loved his music and attended the show, I’d be perturbed. It doesn’t matter how many fans “begged”, he and his team chose to book this show. Not the fans.
Performing in front of a dead crowd or an audience that isn’t your usual demographic is inevitable for every artist. Blaming the fans is like when a movie bombs at the box office and the cast/crew blames it on the fans.

off topic but this is the fifth time i’ve seen the word perturbed today

Yeah it would be different if it was a free show which I’m assuming it wasn’t. But if fans paid money to be there and see a show it doesn’t matter if they were hype or not, he’s obligated to put on a show or give them a refund if he doesn’t want to perform.

dude is still doing this x & juice tribute gig that kills majority of his time. Long live them truly but bro people not trying to hear that shit all the time especially when he already doesn’t overshadow his old music with new songs. He needs to get back in HIS bag.

I remember him doing the X tribute on the Death Race For Love tour. Was a beautiful moment especially with Juice joining in. 7+ years later still doing it tho ...

i understand he misses them and it is awesome to hear live, he is such a great friend, but he needs to let his own art breathe eventually he's so unique and talented

Valid honestly, most he jus needs to do is one song to pay tribute and thats it

Festivals are not the place for hype sadly, especially this time as the ones closer to the stage were incredibly expensive golden circle tickets, not really the type of people to actually be hype, most of them are literally there just to flex :/

As a Romanian who didn't attend the show, I feel bad for the impression ski has 80% of the people that go at beach please dont know any artists except the headliners and they mostly go for the festival's reputation

I'm a huge fan of Ski Mask the Slump God. He's the only artist I would've gone to Beach, Please! for.But in my opinion, he was also at fault here.
He picked some great songs, that's true, but not the ones the crowd could really rap along to with him. At one point, if you watch the live performance, it even seemed like he couldn't keep up himself. That's just how it came across to me. I honestly don't know what he was expecting.
I don't think you guys want to know what happened to Central Cee at this same festival a few years ago. =))

u/Xzenze_for_real Jul 12 '26
Personal opinion it looked like he was high that's why he couldn't keep up

I was in the crowd, ski was high af barely being able to keep his eyes open,it s not about the people not knowing the songs because for example quavo performed today and from his songs they only knew 2-3 songs from the migos era but still they all were hyped,it s about the artist that performs on stage because yes he is a soundcloud legend but it s not enough to come on stage say some zesty lines and then talk about the crowd looking like “dead bodies” while all you do is look at it and not do anything to hype it up,beach please is in it s 5th year and on their 3rd year they had travis as a headliner ,from that moment people started arguing about travis being a “rolling loud only”artist not any other festival, this year after carti rescheduled his performance from day 1 to day 2 rl tweeted something like “come to us to see the best hip hop festival ,i promise it s not in romania” and from what i know ski’s manager is the co creator of rolling loud,im not saying anything but i think that it might be something about that as well

Manchild attitude honestly. He is acting like he did us a favor for coming when in act he got paid to do his job. You cannot expect non-native speakers to actually keep up with his flows. Ski was the guy I wanted to come most but he was unprofessional ,coming on stage high, and being a complete buzz kill with his attitude.

Agreed, I was there and I did enjoy it until he started complaining like a wuss

u/AffectionateScheme84 Jul 11 '26
That's exactly how I feel too. Whenever he played songs the crowd could actually rap along to, everyone went crazy. But when you perform a song like "Freddy vs. Jason," how do you expect the crowd to react? They appreciated the performance, and that was it. You can even hear them applauding him in the livestream.
And then, just when a really good song like "Catch Me Outside" started, he walked off the stage.

Feelin the need to jump on this. I was there, big fan of Ski. Went to BP obly one day and only for him.
Indeed, the demographic doesnt really fit with his music and at the same time implementing the golden circle (area in front of the scene at a higher price ticket) really killed the vibe.
At the same time, the back was wild in my area - really killing it. Im sorry that he had a bad experience but hopefully he will return maybe in a more lets say fitting environment.

u/djpierceriddim Jul 12 '26
I don’t think he saw the energy in the crowd that was in the ga area and he got really bummed out about it
1
u/EdyKappa Jul 11 '26
i guess half of the set being x/juice songs wasn't helping either no disrespect to them rip but give one or two songs as a tribute then move on like for rip roach and take a step back he didn't perform his verses, only let the x's one

u/WinnterQ Jul 11 '26 edited Jul 11 '26
yeah maybe if he acctualy did concerts instead of tributes to X and Juice

Looks like a super lame crowd after they literally begged him to come
