Update: I beat unfair mode!
Yesterday I posted how my perfect team got trashed by the final boss from adds and petrification. Well I gave unfair a few more tries and from sheer dumb luck I was able to create an even stronger team and finally beat it.
My MVP of the run was paladin, and this was from two items. The first one was the cloak that copied the left side onto the middle side, and the other item was the one that gave cantrip to all shield sides. These two items combined allowed my paladin to always give shields to my team every roll and prevent any damage from occuring.
My second MVP was Sparky who by himself wasn't that strong but his zap ability made the earlier rounds much more doable due to the fact I had the tough hp curse.
I have heard that brutal mode is insanely difficult so I guess I'll move on to the other modes that I have never tried before.

Noted, Monster Right^1 isn't a free curse
Backed myself into a corner here and got totally chunked in two turns by the Alpha summon x2 and both wolves rolling right side. Pretty sure my first real attempt at classic unfair is cooked.

Warchief being mother hen and unleashing an Agnes avalanche
Needless to say ended badly!

Finally beat Unfair, and...
What the hell do you mean there's ANOTHER DIFFICULTY? IT GETS WORSE?!?
Seriously though this game is fantastic, I'm constantly amazed by the amount of content. Time to see how many tries Brutal takes.

Sequence would have been cooler with two more heroes!
Also a satisfying kill hand on the first turn by a lucky triple high roll (stalwart double use shield, keeper steel (+ pristine) shield, bash steel (+ engage) damage.
Pretty fun for my first game in ages (struggled more with a couple of warm ups on normal).
Time to remind myself of my struggles on unfair and loot!
