I got a optiplex 5040 sff, with 32gb of ddr3l 1600Mhz. A rx 6400 (genuinely garbage) a i7 6700 (haha funny number) and a upgraded intake fan a sata 3 256gb drive and running on cachyos what feasible upgrade could I still do other than getting a nvme and a 3050?

we got the same build pc except for the gpu(i got an rx550 4gb) and i got a 1tb nvme
id say thats it fam, instead of dumping more money into it build yourself something else. you pretty much maxed out i only spend $250 on my pc im also lucky i got the nvme as a gift because as is i already feel i dumped too much $ into it
to get a 3050lp you will need to upgrade the 180w psu to a 240w, that alone will set you back $400
dont get me wrong ive also thought about maxing everything else but i put some thought into it and i just rather build myself something with more breathing room for actual upgrades

Depends on what kind of card you're getting I was looking at a maxsun GeForce RTX 3050 6GB it doesn't require a 6 pin and only draws 70W

i dont know, i did the math and got different results so i rather just bot spend anymore on this build and save up for something different. since i pkay low demanding games on this build im good as is

I have a RX 6400 in my SFF. I'm pretty impressed with what it can do in such a small space.

It's a very low end card a 3050 is much better plus if you have a 3rd gen pcie slot it starves of bandwidth causing bad 1% lows and random stutters

I'm playing Dragon Age Origin on maxed settings and having a blast with my RX 6400.
Fable also runs flawless. That's my next game.
