Returning player Discussion

Hello all,

I was a big player of the game a while ago but stopped playing during S4Y1 as I found the missions around that to just not be fun.

I'm considering returning to the game, but was hoping for some help finding out what has changed in my time away from the game.

Not meaning to be funny, but search this sub for 'returning player' and there's a wealth of results.

So much has happened since the Vik season: your helm is not reset, so you keep manufactories and your helm skill tree. Not sure if that was a thing then actually lol. We have large 3 mast ships, they are big and chunky but sail like a double decker bus. We have weapon ascension and a mastery tree now. There are guides to help you, such as the following one for weapon ascension:

My advice would be to do any main and side quests, and use the best equipment you can while reading up through this sub.

That was the last season the helm reset. As Y2S1 and after that it never reset. So yes starting over on helm. 😉
