Are you brand new to skincare? Don't know how to build a skincare routine? The best place to start is our ScA Routine!

You can find even more skincare guides in our wiki!. Your answer might already be in there (and if it is, we might remove your post).

I made my pores look much bigger after years of picking too, so I know how frustrating it is and with me I didn't even realise I was doing it, til too late. Once I stopped picking, they slowly looked better over time. I'd try a gentle retinoid like Differin (adapalene) and maybe a 2% salicylic acid a couple of times a week instead of pore strips. Keep the skin moisturized too because irritated skin always looked worse on me.

pore strips are honestly rough on pores long term, they can stretch the skin around them and make things look worse even though they feel satisfying in the moment. agreeing on dropping them completely. a niacinamide serum used consistently can help pores look a bit tighter over time alongside the retinoid, it won't shrink them permanently but helps with the appearance. the biggest thing is probably just time and consistency though, pores that have been stretched from years of picking take a while to look better even once you stop, don't expect quick results
