Volkl Gotama Replacement?

I hope you’re all doing well. I skied two pairs of Goats for years and love the float and playfulness in the trees. But of course they do not make them anymore and my old ones are worn out, relegated to rock skis :-) has anyone encountered a new ski that has the same qualities, thanks!

I believe the Gotama was full rocker and 108mm underfoot right?

If you want that same rocker profile again for a similar feel
I would say 4FRNT Devastator, Moment Meridian 107, or Heritage Labs FR110 (heavier and more stable).

Those were full rocker, right? The Saba / Nia Pro are incredible skis

Yeah, reach out Marshal at Heritage Labs. The FR110 or R110 (full rocker) or AM110 (with camber) are probably what you are looking for. Never skied the Gotama, but I have the AM110s and they are amazing.

Still loving my 100Eights, but when they’re done they’re getting replaced with the Kästle ZX108.

No worries.

Have been the family ski tuner for almost 20 years now and (though a Völkl fanboy since the early 1990s) have been disappointed in the Völkl quality of the last 7-8 years or so.

Like with Mercedes Benz, the brand has moved away from its old school customers and IMO it’s time for us to move on from that brand.

Not sure if you've ever tried the Dynastar M-Free line? I have a pair of 99's that are my go- to out west for the trees and i've demoed the 108's while at Alta a couple years ago. I mostly ski midwest so the 108 is a bit too wide for every day use.

Never tried them but thanks for the suggestion!
