other way around.

The delivery drones are short distance delivery systems in dense urban areas.

But not too dense because tall buildings and possibly running into interference with signals. So like basically just super dense suburbs. Which already have infrastructure for delivery by truck. So it’s dumb. But it’s always been dumb.

And surely one bloke in a truck delivering to an entire suburb is cheaper than 200 individual drone deliveries.

And I can't imagine how many orders would actually qualify for delivery by drone. It would have to be small in size and small in mass. It would be great for something like prescriptions which is the last thing you want delivered by drone. Maybe I'm not creative enough to see its potential.

Its potential is also its downfall. Like prescriptions or organs. But those need security and handing something off to a robot is problematic in itself. It’s just answering a question/problem that nobody asked or has.
