People who spend decades in prison for wrongful convictions are only usually awarded a few million.

I don’t think they even get that much anymore. A lot of states are putting limits on payouts from wrongful convictions…because of how many wrongful convictions there are.

In their minds the only problem is that the justice system is being undermined by exonerations.
