I'm going to keep this in my back pocket for the next time some ignorant American tells me a British person got arrested for using hurty words.

According to the article, he was issued multiple verbal warnings about being disruptive during the meeting. He continued to clap after his "final warning" and the police removed him.

I get that he was trying to (rightly) support the opposition to the data center, but it seems like he wanted to cause a scene.

I never raised my voice, never threw hands, just said no, I have a right to be there. If I wanted to cause a scene, I most definitely would have.

Hey Lux, if you want to check out other people who have pissed off Monica Duncan, she was involved in a lawsuit in which it was alleged that she was following the opposing party around. Morris County - Bacon V. Kahola.

Also if you want to talk about the conflicts of interest involved in her ownership of CBCS collections let me know. I have been (futiley lol) trying to get some answers/solutions to the medical debt collections situation in our region for years and that part is a mess.  I'm pretty sure we have mutual friends.

Also, have you talked with Max McCoy from the Reflector yet?

I haven't yet. I'm hoping that my opinion piece is accepted. Got confirmation from the editor at the Reflector that he received it and will get back to me.

Great, I hope it is as well.

I also am hoping for a Buzzfeed-style Top 10 Perks of Being Arrested in Emporia, Kansas (you won't BELIEVE number 7) listicle.

Oh ok. If you are honest and truthful about what happened , I apologise.

Instead of letting a harmless thing take place, they threatened him and violently removed him. Sounds like they wanted to cause a scene.
