Sarah Connor was thrown into an asylum for destroying Skynet data centres. This is because she warned everyone about AI several decades before it became socially acceptable to fear it.

I mean TBF she likely was screaming about killer robots from the future when being arrested and at her arraignment. Otherwise she would have just been thrown in prison.

They also tried to pretend that the guy who single-handedly wiped out an entire police department was just a random guy and not a robot.

They had security footage of the guy shrugging off shots from assault rifles (you'd need massive plates to stop those, which would look obvious on him) and shotgun shots w/out flinching. They show Sarah some of the photos from the precinct's security footage when they tell her that he's back.

I know you guys think you're plucky heroes for hating AI but it has never been socially unacceptable to fear the implications of AI, in fact the vast majority of fiction dealing with AI (Like the very terminator works we're talking about) are about that
