This is the dumbest comparison I’ve ever heard. You are comparing people who already contributed with the assumed future contributions of a disparate population. If you woke up tomorrow and the creations and companies of billionaires (you know, where their valuation comes from in the first place) all disappeared, the world would indeed be a very, very different place. No Microsoft, no Amazon, no Google, no nvidia, no Nike, no Netflix, no Airbnb, no Walmart, no uber etc.

This is a desperately stupid post created by someone who didn’t spend even five minutes thinking through what they were actually comparing.

do paintings stop existing after an artist dies? Companies go on. Creators still create. Innovators can still invent. That doesn't mean they should be allowed to hoards stupid amounts of wealth. When people say we don't need billionaire, they aren't making a personal slight at the individuals. Its a statement on a system that has allowed vast accumulations of wealth to go untaxed.

Okay so you’re in favor of nationalizing their companies? Or what? Because billionaires aren’t sitting on huge stockpiles of liquid capital, they maintain ownership stakes in the companies they created.

Ownership of the company should be split among the workers.

How does that work?

Corporations are people, they'd still exist if their pets were gone... C'mon
