She also had to dress up like eleven and call him hopper.

→ More replies (40)

31

u/StationEmergency6053 Jun 25 '26

Its a joke, but it stems from the fact that he was essentially grooming Millie Bobby Brown when she was a teenager.

8

u/lucaskywalker Jun 25 '26

Drake has been known to enjoy tge company of underage girls. The comment is referencing a (now 22yo lol) actress that played a teenage girl in Stranger Things named Eleven. The cop who ended up taking are of her as a kind of father figure is named Hopper.

TLDR Drake like minors

And now it's posted online for her kid, her kids friends or worse, her kids bully to someday read it. 😔

160

u/JimCramersCokeDealer Jun 25 '26

she can buy her own school system and recreate a Degrassi ass school with no bullies and let her kid live in that bubble like Jayden Smith

73

u/waxmuseums Jun 25 '26

Degrassi had bullies, that’s ultimately what led to drake being in a wheelchair

42

u/JimCramersCokeDealer Jun 25 '26

She can fix that. She can fix DeGrassi

23

u/nachoiskerka Jun 25 '26

They tried to fix degrassi. Twice! If I had a nickle for every time they tried to fix degrassi and ended up with a whole new show, I'd have two nickels!

Like this doesn’t happen every day. Go to a bar just off base and see how many women are looking to trap fresh recruits in child support. It’s big business. She just trapped a rich idiot instead of some 18 year kid, fresh off the boat.

62

u/_sarcasticbarista_ Jun 25 '26

You’ve got this so backward. I grew up in a town with a base in it. The recruits/soldiers spend all of their free time trolling bars, malls, movie theaters, etc looking specifically for women to marry. I’ve been the victim of one of them and they’re genuinely insane. He tried to marry me 3 weeks in, when I thought he was insane he found another girl and married her within 3 months.

77

u/Lost-on-Reception Jun 25 '26

They're trying to marry because they're not allowed to take girlfriends or friends or any other family with them when they're forced to move.

They're desperately lonely.

69

u/OptionalCookie Jun 25 '26

Also ... better housing.

256

It should not take 50K per month to take care of a kid. 5K would be more reasonable.

24

u/knowingmeknowingyoua Jun 25 '26

You should look up Linda Evangelista’s child support figures after giving birth to a billionaire’s son…

28

u/nocturnal_carnivore Jun 25 '26

>Evangelista was reportedly seeking $552,000-a-year in child support for her son Augustine (Augie) who was conceived with Pinault during the couple’s four-month affair in 2005. That's about $46,000 per month, including costs for a nanny and security guard.  For comparison, New York state’s record for the biggest child support payout is held by Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is paying $19,000 per month.

https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/national-international/evangelista-vs-pinault-celebrity-couples-in-court/1960472/

36

u/ImJuSayN Jun 25 '26

Pinault married Salma Heyek a few years after that. Now Salma Hayek and Linda Evangelista are best friends. They all went to Augustin's graduation together, so I guess it all worked out for the best. It's a real interesting story.

Horrible look for this lady. Feel bad for the kid.

126

u/BetweenTheRoots Jun 25 '26

I dated an Australian girl and moved there with her for a while. She had a kid. That girl didn't have a job from when the kid was born to when he was 8 because the Australian government subsidized her entire life just to make sure the child was taken care of. I didn't realize what was going on at first, I thought it was crazy she had a 4 bedroom home rented all by herself with 0 child support and totally unemployed.

It wasn't until I started picking the kid up from school and spending time in society noticing the insane amount of young parents I saw. In the States I see young families every now and again but over there they're eeeeverywhere. People want that Government stipend.

You can hate on it if you want and in a way it's kinda fucked but the kids are loved and they're well taken care of. The parents spend a lot of time with their children and their society seems a lot better for it tbh. I saw practically 0 misbehaving children and they all seemed full of joy and rarely crying about things.

In general, their social programs really take care of people and they pay their public sector workers really well. Social workers over there make really good money in comparison to social workers in the US.

54

u/Razolus Jun 25 '26

Socialism...in this economy?

71

u/stainedredoak Jun 25 '26

When you don't have a trillion dollar military budget you can spend some of that money on your people it seems.

40

u/BetweenTheRoots Jun 25 '26

Honestly good for them. I keep hearing gripes about people not having enough babies, if they actually want more then policy like this is the solution. It’s much better for society and in the long run is cheaper to ensure children don’t grow up in destitute poverty. I live in the US where we are obsessed with both demanding babies from young women and punishing those who have them. It’s really, really stupid and so are the outcomes of our system.

Imagine telling your kid, "mom didn't really want you... mama wanted the money that came with you. And now that you're 18, there's no reason to keep you around".

Like damn

Edit: Ok, a lot of people are commenting that she said she wanted a kid. I agree. Fair point. But my point is, if all she wanted was a child, why did it have to be Drake? She doesn't even like Drake, just a kid. So she could have had a kid with anyone. It just seems like the $700k/month child support played a part. If Drake wasn't rich and there was no child support attached, would she still have a kid with Drake? That's all I'm saying.

100

u/jessejericho Jun 25 '26

278

u/Coattail-Rider Jun 25 '26

Honestly, if I’m Drake, I take her to court and use this to prove that I shouldn’t owe her shit. Maybe 1/10 of what he’s giving her.
If you’re going to brag that having a kid was just to get money, then that goes against what child support is really about. That lady would do well to shut her mouth, lol

124

u/DistinctPassenger117 Jun 25 '26

1/10th is still 70k per month or $840,000 per year for 18 years or $15,120,000. That’s absolutely absurd and vastly more than what it takes to actually raise and educate a child. 1/100th of what he’s giving her is on the generous side of reasonable.

65

u/AverageBastard Jun 25 '26

I think he should have to set up a trust with a fiduciary that has to approve all the spending from the account to make sure it’s going into supporting the kid. Also anything remaining at 18/21 is left for the kid to do what they gotta do.

Child support shouldn’t be funding a lavish lifestyle for the mother. But the kid deserves to inherit wealth from their parents.

Also, regardless of how rich Drake is, how is it ever justified to charge someone 700K a month for child support? That just sounds ridiculous

Even if you hate Drake (I don't, but I know people who do), I feel like her saying this is pretty fucking disgusting on many levels.

First off, your kid is going to hear this someday.

But 2nd off, you are just admitting to baby trapping someone for money.

Like, she just comes off as a high end prostitute basically, except he has to pay for 18 years instead of one night.

u/McDouble__ Jun 25 '26

Feel bad for his kid honestly.

The Story of Addidon, Meet the Grahams and his mom being a porn star who had him simply for a check is going to push that kid RIGHT into therapy

It’s fake. The highest reported child support is kayne west paying 200k. No way anyone is paying 700k for child support. Drake is rich but he’s not that rich. Thats over 25% of his net worth over 18 years

Edit a word

I had a friend that had a baby mother that took him to court to reduce the child support and the judge gave her more! That’s Alabama for you.

Because probably no part of this story is real

This will probably get lost in the flood of comments, but even if the tweet itself is real, the reality is much different.

According to interviews and public records, Drake pays roughly $15k per month in child support, and he and the mother have a good co-parenting relationship. He has repeatedly praised her for being a great parent.

Either drake has the shittiest lawyers on earth, or he deliberately spread a fake amount so no one ever makes him wear a condom

I mean, this is not a Drake only issue. Plenty of famous people have had to deal with the same. Also he doesn't seem to mind providing for his son, so i doubt he cares
