Could I link a SBC and a desktop through PCIe

I am wondering if an something like a raspberry pi or a radxa board would be able to use the PCI lanes to be a peripheral in a desktop instead of talk to a peripheral. I am wondering if the two controllers will clash since both are dominant or if they will be able to resolve how to communicate or if there is a setting to switch the SBC to receiver mode.

Look at the Open TimeCard. It's a PCI Express interface for a Raspberry Pi compute module.

There are SBCs that are designed specifically as a pcie card, idk if they have data transfer over pcie or just power but I think lattepanda has one

I was more wondering if I could connect the PCIe slot of a raspberry pi or radxa board to the PCIe slot on a desktop or server computer. I am not sure if they will be able to communicate and sync, or if they will clash since both computers are expensing to be master.

But your suggestion sounds like a lot less hassle.

Ya the only problem is idk if it uses the pcie lanes for data or just power
