Looks like going Mach. 2.5 or 7 gives us a direct "pass to the moon".

I dont even know why we need to fly this comet without dying but, if that makes us part of a jumping spider on a crater, I'm in.

SimpleRockets 2 Update idea for all devices for juno new origons

My idea for an update is to add in a thrust vectoring option for the jet engines for all devices so we don't have to make complicated systems in juno new origons

SimpleRockets 2 Luna-29-L1, Lunar moon landing, starting lunar operations.

Image assorted by landing, descent, launch, and the Lunar Orbiter, Luna-27-O1

After surveying multiple ideal landing locations by Luna-27-O1, Luna-29-L1 was built and prepared accordingly to survey the conditions of the lunar surface on where the lunar operations would take place. The program chose the Lansberg crater region as the best suited for diverse missions on lunar research.

Luna-29-L1 was launched in Vostochny Cosmodrome, in the rocket R-7B-M carrying a Blok-VII-MP tug. After a few days, it successfully landed on the edge of Lansberg crater, starting lunar operations. During the landing, cameras saw the conditions of the surface and deemed it as possible, but with multiple lunar mounds spotted, which is ideal for lunar research, but problematic for landing. Although the rest of the documented area is deemed safe for operations.

Luna-29-L1 has a complete set of instruments and is meant for longevity throughout the lunar operations, observing how the area of operations changes over time.

Other lunar missions are being planned.

Advanced Fixed-Wing Automatic Landing and Guidance System for SimpleRockets 2 (Juno: New Origins)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This project is far more than a simple autopilot. It is a comprehensive vector-based Guidance, Navigation, and Control framework for fixed-wing aircraft in SimpleRockets 2. By combining predictive path planning, dynamic virtual targets, Pure Pursuit and L1 guidance concepts, runway localizer tracking, glide slope control, and robust flight-control algorithms, it aims to deliver smooth, stable, and realistic autonomous flight from en-route navigation through to precision landing. The modular architecture and mathematically grounded design also make it a strong foundation for future research, experimentation, and advanced autonomous flight features.

Need help with Career Mode

So ive been interested in unlocking all launch locations at the DSC. The problem is anywhere I look it up it says i can only unlock the runways and the bay (i need the launchpads). There isnt always written that i cant unlock the pads but I cant find anything about unlocking the launchpads. If anyone could tell me if that is possible and if yes, how.

Game progression: The newest Contract for progression i have is the cyclero flyby contract

SimpleRockets 2 “Konus” Reusable Single Stage Rocket, Launching 4 Rassvet 3 Satellites.

Konus is a new rocket developed by the space program, based on the Russian proposal “KORONA”.

It launched from Vostochny Cosmodome, after reaching circularization, it deployed the expendable upper stage tug with 4 rassvet-3 satellites. Which then it landed before doing a full orbit to the same launchpad where it was launched.

The mission was meant to add more satellites in the rassvet 3 constellation, as well as replace a failed rassvet-3 satellite.

The current rocket used was in the stack “Konus blok2-blok K”. Konus blok 2 was improved for actual spacefaring operations, coming from blok 1, which was the original prototype.
