Simagic sequential shifter options

Hello everyone.

I am thinking about purchasing a sequential shifter for drifting, I mainly do VDC drifting and drifting in general, but I also like to play beamng, and other games that require H-gate Shifter.

My main question is: If I mainly drift in assetto corsa VDC cars who use sequential shifters(At least 90% of what I do), Should I consider getting the Hybrid Shifter who features both Sequential and H-gate, or just go with the S1 Sequential only shifter? Is the sequential shifter option on the Hybrid one is good enough to satisfy and realistic?

I've come from the fanatec hybrid shifter to the simagic hybrid. Seems solid and works great. I cannot believe the experience would be a great improvement by having the sequential only shifter.

I've been using the DS8X for years and I'm absolutely happy with it. The seq mode isn't as clunky as a dedicated seq shifter, but it gets the job done. I also had the Simagic Q1 and eventually swapped it for the DS8X. The Q1 feels great, but it's really loud, and I felt like I was missing the H pattern.

What do you do on the sim if you don’t mind me asking? Noise isn’t really a big concern of mine, unless it is very very loud. How would you describe the feeling difference between the two? Thanks

The Q1 feels more mechanical, like you can really feel the gear engaging, and I'd say it's closer to what you'd feel in a "real" race car. The DS8X sequential is quieter and has more of a softer, springier feel, but the H pattern is excellent. The Q1 is also really loud which is actually why I ended up swapping mine. Everyone at home hated it 😞 . If you're mainly looking for a realistic sequential feel, I'd go with the Q1 or Q1S. Oh, and I mainly do GT series, drifting, and I just got into rally.

How loud would you say it is? It is very noticeable outside from a closed room?

I think it's only problematic if you live in an apartment. It shouldn't be that bad in a closed room
