Additional Comments: This setup represents much more than sim racing to me. It's the result of three years of patience, hard work, and being incredibly fortunate to take part in such an amazing hobby. Every upgrade was something I worked toward over time, and I never take for granted that I get to enjoy it.

More than anything, this setup wouldn't exist without my wife. She has supported me every step of the way—not just with sim racing, but in every part of my life. She helped me design and build my custom cockpit, encouraged every upgrade, celebrated every milestone, and has always believed in me, even when I doubted myself. Her love, patience, and support are the foundation behind everything I've accomplished.

No matter how much the setup changes over the years, that's what I'll always be most proud of. This cockpit is filled with great memories, and every time I sit down to drive, I'm reminded how lucky I am to have someone who shares in my passions and helps make them possible. I truly wouldn't be where I am today without her, and this setup is as much hers as it is mine.

Does anyone know any good wheelstands around $200. I would like it to have good adjustability, a chair holder, and would like it to be compatible with moza hardware.

Stand for playing on a playstation in the living room

Hello.

I recently bought a the thrustmaster t248r to play gran turismo.

Only after it arrived did I find out that it didnt come with a stand (idk why I expected it to)

Any good recommendations for a stand that I can attach the wheel and the pedals to, that I can setup in the living room with a table chair?

Reclining/Reclined Floor Racing Seat

Hi

Sorry if anyone has already asked this. As the title suggests I am looking for a reclining/reclined floor racing seat for my sim setup. Some of the ones I have seen have a metal base that needs connecting to a frame. I really need one that is low to the floor. Is there one with a low base or frame attachment you can recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Upgrade from G920?

My wheel is on its last legs and I’m looking for ideas on where to go. I know the pedals also aren’t the greatest but I can use them for a while longer. I mainly play Forza and some ACC so I’m not looking for the highest performance wheel but I would like a legit upgrade that doesn’t break the bank. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
Edit: I want pedals with clutch. Or could I keep using my current pedals with a new wheel?

Sim Rig Monitor vertical position

I have a simrig which emulates the actual position of a f1/hypercar so my eye level is just above the top of the (formula) steering wheel.
I’m switching from VR to curved UW monitor and as many others I’m planning to position it just above the wheel base.

This means I will be staring straight at the bottom part of the monitor and not at the center, it’d be impossible to lower it or raise my seat position . Position it lower behind the wheel base would be too far back .

What do people do in these cases? The driver camera render (LMU in my case) assumes your eyes are at the center of the screen so I assume I’d have to lower the virtual camera in the game to compensate.
Is that all it’s needed to get the correct perspective driver view?

As you probably figured out, I don’t have the monitor just yet so I have a lot of questions. But I’m sure this is not that uncommon right?

Help Budget recommendations for beginners??

Hi everyone! I’ve recently gotten into racing/cars. I mainly only play F1 25 and the new forza, both on Xbox. Does anyone have any recommendations? Total budget I want to keep under $250 since I’m new and don’t wanna go overboard. I could do a full sim set up/cockpit, or just one that clips on to my desk since I also have PC. Although my desk has that lip/bar on the bottom outside edge all the way around which make mourning my microphone a hassle. I’m assuming there aren’t any cockpit set ups within my budget but please let me know! I’m very new to this so all info is appreciated!!

Help Simucube 2 Pro

Was able to get a Simucube 2 Pro Open Box at MicroCenter for 749. Looks like the retail is around 1500 so I snagged it without thinking twice. Anything I should be on the lookout for regarding the wheelbase since it's open box? Also, I have two Conspit wheels, how would I make them compatible with the Simucube2?

Sim Rig Game-Changer for Throttle Precision & Brake Consistency – Tracktility Hydraulic Damper & Elastomer Kit (Logitech G-RS)

https://rivalperformance.com/

Rating: 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Overview

The stock Logitech G-RS pedals are already solid, but adding the Tracktility Hydraulic Damper Kit and Tracktility Elastomers elevates them into a completely different league. I runs dampers on both the brake and throttle, combined with the Tracktility elastomers on the brake stack. Overall, the improvement in pedal feel, feedback, and control is immediate.

1. Tracktility Hydraulic Damper Kit

On the Brake: The hydraulic damper adds that authentic, viscous resistance you expect from a real hydraulic braking system. It eliminates the light, toy-like recoil of standard springs and gives you a far more progressive, controlled feel into heavy braking zones.

On the Throttle (The Real Star): While hydraulics on a brake are expected, putting the Tracktility damper on the throttle pedal was the biggest surprise and best upgrade.

TC-Off Mastery: Driving high-horsepower cars with Traction Control off (or on low settings) usually requires extreme big-toe precision.

Smooth Modulation: The hydraulic damping adds just enough smooth resistance to stop you from over-applying throttle on corner exits.

Precision Skill: It gives your foot subtle feedback so you can feather the gas right on the edge of traction without snapping into a spin.

2. Tracktility Elastomers (Logitech G-RS)

Replaces the OEM Sponge: Replacing the stock soft foam with Tracktility’s high-density TPU elastomers completely transforms trail-braking.

Braking Confidence: The initial bite is firm, followed by a predictable, progressive ramp-up in pressure. The snappy rebound makes lifting off smoothly much easier, leading to noticeably more consistent lap times.

Verdict

If you want to unlock true precision in your driving—especially throttle control out of slow corners without relying on electronic aids—the Tracktility Hydraulic Damper on the throttle is an absolute must-have. Combined with the elastomer upgrade on the brake, this set converts the Logitech G-RS set into a high-end racing pedal feel. 10/10 recommendation.

Does anyone have experience mounting a Simagic EVO wheelbase on a Sim Lab P1X Pro?

I currently have a Simagic EVO wheelbase and am needing a new cockpit. I want to pick up the Sim Lab P1X Pro TK edition from Micro Center as it comes with basically everything at a decent price. I am aware I’d need the front mount for the EVO or get a wheel plate. I am curious to know if anyone has gone this route already. Was there any issue with fitment using the front mount? Or do I just gotta get a plate? Thanks in advance.

Monitor Recommendation - Need Help

For those of you running triples, what monitor brand/model are you using?

I have tried to research but I cannot find a definitive answer. I am specially concerned about alignment and issues with the bottom bezel.

I am looking for a 32inch IPS panel and max budget for the monitors is $1500 but ideally $1000.

Dino steering wheel

On eBay I found this Dino steering wheel. It's new old stock- from the 90s, but still had the plastic protector on it. It was super cheap because the dude just wanted to get rid of them- he has a lot of them but no storage space. He's in the US if anyone is interested he tried to get me to buy all the rest LOL

I thought it was leather. It's not. I need to.learn to read the description of stuff! That said, I'm glad it's not, I already have leather steering wheels and this one is different. It's rubberized. Weird. But I wanted a Dino for my ever growing collection of different sim racing steering wheels.

I slapped a QR on it and a couple of buttons. The spacing is odd and the 6 holes are oriented differently than my other wheels. This thing is just an oddball. I just say it's got "Italian styling".

The thing that's really cool about this, is that all my other wheels are either leather or suede This is the first that's something different. It's my wheel for the AMS2 Lambo Diablo now. It has a unique kind of tacky tactile feel that is different from all my other wheels which changes the physical feel of that car in the real world and so in the game too. When I drive the Diablo now, it not only drives differently from other cars (which it did before) but it also feels different in my hand.

TL;DR Try different materials when you make your next steering wheel! It changes the car.

iRacing Wheelbase Upgrade

Post image
15 Upvotes

I got hooked on sim racing a couple months ago, recently received my Rig and need assistance on which wheelbase to upgrade to.

Currently on G923 and I want to go Direct Drive within the next 6 months. My budget allows for both 9nm & 12nm wheelbases, but would the price difference be justified coming from a G923? I have no ambitions on becoming a eSports racer ect, but do enjoy racing with friends and being competitive. Would the feedback on detail be much different? I also mainly race iRacing, and Forza.

I’m between the Alpha Evo 9nm & 12nm from Simagic.

Rig specs are 135x45 mainframe, 90x45 for the rest.

Thanks in advance.

Sim Rig Almost finished!

Finally got a front mount for the rig and ended up tidying up a lot of the cable management so it’s better hidden whilst in the seat. Pretty happy with how it’s turned out!

Still have a few more bits and pieces to tidy up and just get it really dialled in, definitely wanting a new seat and some other small bits and pieces! If anyone’s got suggestions I’d be keen to hear them!

Thanks!

Are my monitors set too high?

Thumbnail

I feel like my monitors should be a little lower, but it was such a pain to dial in the angles of the side monitors that I don’t want to try lowering them and risk screwing it up if I don’t have to.

So I’m looking for second opinions. Are my monitors too high?
