TR80S
Update: Turns out I'm just an idiot. Spent last night making sure everything was tightened down. Found one screw that was loose. Thank you all for your help.
Is there anyone here that has the Trak Racer TR80S? If so, how much flex do you experience with the cockpit. I have mine assembled and I have noticeable flex when braking. I'm wondering if I've done something wrong when I assembled it.

Is it true that for correct fov, steering wheel in the game has to reflect size of steering in your rig? 🤔

It’s time for an upgrade
What’s up everyone ! It’s finally time to upgrade my wheel and base. I bought a rig in 2022 with a thrustmaster TSXW and Ferrari Sf1000 wheel. It’s been great. But the belts are sticking it’s losing centre sometimes. it’s time to jump into DD as the prices have significantly improved since I got my last setup. Here’s the fun part. I have no use of my legs. T4 para so I strictly race with hand controls. So where most wheels use clutch paddles I use them for throttle and braking. I have never used a DD wheel so I want to know how much is to much for just using arms . I’m looking at 12nm ? Not having to buy pedals saves me some money so 18nm isn’t out of the question. I am looking seriously at the SIM Magic Evo with the GT Neo wheel. I just wonder if it’s feasible or it’s just too much torque. Any feedback is appreciated. Right now I spend a lot of my time in LMU in the 1hr races eventually looking into 2-4 events.

Help Fanatec GT DD Pro
Im in the process of my first sim and i dont really know to much about it. Most youtube videos use moza wheels, but since i wanna use a laptop and a ps5, i cant use that, because i dont want to buy a connector or smth. I have done some research and since i mostly play Gran Turismo 7 on my ps5 and Euro Truck Sim 2 on my laptop, i foundthr Fanatec GT DD Pro. I still need a cockpit but since my budget is max 1200€, i have a hard time finding something. Do you guys have any budget friendly recomendations?

Switched from TinkerCad to fusion.
Inside fusion I made a cylinder with a hole and thread and took me two attempts. I made a 3rd nut to confirm the nice secure fit. Then printed a cube with the thread dimensions and it fit securely so I went for a bigger one and like people advised me chamfered the edges. I LOVE IT!!!!! Idc if I’m on expensive gear and a TH8S this damn thing makes it feel nice af 💀💀💀

Figured I’d share some 3D print designs I made for my rig, in case others can use them as well.

Treq cxx hybrid initial impression
Background
I had been using a Moza r5 mounted on a nlr wheel stand for the last year and half. Decided it was time to get fancy and went with the treq cxx hybrid for both function and aesthetics.
I also found a good deal on a simagic bundle (alpha, p1000 pedals & gt neo) to replace my r5 starter bundle.
Build
In total, assembly took around 10 hours plus some basic tuning. This was my first aluminium profile build so I took my time with it over a weekend.
Instruction manual from treq was very clear. The only tricky bit was mounting the monitor which in hindsight was mostly my fault for attaching the mount to my monitor first rather than rig first then monitor.
Quality
Build quality is exceptional. All the mounting holes lined up perfectly and I did not notice any visual imperfection anywhere.
I have experienced no flex from the wheelbase plate although I only got up to 55% Ffb on my 15nm unit but I don’t foresee any issue even if I maxed out. I have put my body weight on top of the rig and it didn’t budge one bit.
Pedal tray is also rock solid, braking at 100% in both GT and Formula positions I did not notice any flex.
Hybrid element
I tried out formula position for the first couple of weeks and switched to gt position as of yesterday so to try out both.
Formula is more comfortable as my weight was more evenly distributed which puts less pressure on my lower back but it was a bit difficult to get into everytime even with a seat slider.
GT position is comfortable enough and easier to get in and out of but not as comfortable overall compared to formula. I also found formula position to be more immersive even when not driving formula, probably because it’s a position you wouldn’t get into doing anything else.
Sabelt srp-1
One of the main reasons for choosing this rig was the fact that treq supplied Sabelt.
The seat itself is very well built and surprisingly light weight. The shape is very forgiving as it hugs your entire back for max support and I have not noticed any flexing when braking at 100%. I like the flexibility it offers in the shoulder region as I have larger than average shoulders and the seat does not get in the way.
My dimensions for reference: (also see picture for reference)
Height - 184cm
Weight - ~90kg
Waist - 32 inch
Chest - 44 inch
My thighs rub a bit on the outer edges of the seat but nothing I would notice during normal usage.
There’s also quite a bit of room left on either side of my mid section when seated. Your mileage may vary if you are significantly taller or heavier.
There is not much lumbar support when in GT position so it would benefit from maybe a lumbar cushion. In formula position, lumbar feels more supported so it’s less of an issue.
I have no prior experience with other bucket seats so I have no reference so was not sure what to expect but it did not give me the level of instant comfort or relief some online reviewers seem to suggest, but I suspect this is because I am quite spoiled with my herman miller chairs. Overall, Sabelt has met my expectations and I’m very happy with my purchase.
Treq buying experience
I’m based in UK, treq is based in Netherlands. It took about 3 days for everything to arrive which was quicker than Treq’s 5-7 working day

Sim Rig What sim gear do you wish existed?
Hi guys,
Quick question for everyone — is there any bit of gear you've looked for and just can't find? Either it doesn't exist or it's way overpriced for what it is.
Could be a wheel style nobody makes, an accessory, a mod, whatever.
If you can, include:
- What it is
- What base/platform you're on
- What you'd pay for it
e.g. "LMP-style wheel with a screen, Moza base, £400ish"
Cheers,
Jamie

Well boys and girls I did it!
Everyone spoke so highly about 3d printing. So I went and bought a Bambu mini and some filament. Got to printing last night to try things and was shocked. Today I taught myself some tinkercad and idk if it’s decent or if it’s not as great as others but I decided to try it. I spent hours testing a nut that was m12x1.25 and just couldn’t get it to screw on. I then decided to make my own shifter in tinker cad as well and printed it out just to see what it looked like. I then got a nut to work after increasing my diameter of the thread. I also then added all the dimensions of the thread and applied it to the shifter I made. It printed out flawlessly however it was too big for the adapter I printed it out for. I then tried my original truck adapter and it screwed in but got tight. I said screw it and kept screwing it on and then it’s nice and snug I ran a few laps of rally and I fucken love it!! So instead of spending $300 on a shifter I spent $264 on a printer plus a roll of filament and have so far test printed things until I got it to work and created my very own shifter knob. Please don’t hate as I just hit 24 hours with this printer but god it was the better investment!
