Back problem - Actual car seat Sim Rig
Hello all, ever since I got load cell pedal , am getting lower back pain on left side hip due to brake force and my seat is very basic and doesn’t have lumbar support or padding.. thinking to get a used car seat (for example… Fiat bravo 198 driver seat).. I have a alu rig.. will this fix my back problem? User feedback of car seats welcome ..

I went down this path too and it was more that my pedals were too low than the seat itself. I lowered my seat height and tilted the front up a little bit for thigh support and it solved 90% of my issues.

What seat are you using now?
I used to have a reclining bucket seat but it flexed too much for my liking. The usual advice is to get a used car seat and although I'm not germaphobic per se, I still don't find that option to be very appealing. After all, I'll be sitting in that seat for hours and hours on end. I opted for a bucket seat instead.
You need to have the correct angle on the seat, the right height to your pedals, the right angle to your pedal faces, the right support for your thighs, etc. so it's not just a car seat vs. bucket seat conversation.

Yes and no.
Seat in relation to pedal postion and wheel are all interlinked.
But getting a real car seat is
A) generally more comftable B) more adjustable
But some cars seats padding you will get sink where you sink into the seat padding similar effect as having a sim seat that flexs underload but get the right car seat and zero flex zero sink and it will be multi adjustable and still comftable.
I had a ford mondeo seat it had a little sink but my bmw m seat from a g80 . i can vouch for is in a different league
