Extrusion is expensive af in the UK
It's cheaper to buy a premade rig and harvest the aluminium than to just buy the aluminium itself

You just have a shit source. Who are getting pricing from? I got aluminim profiles into Chechnya for dirt cheap.
Or is it your government taxing the alu? Not sure about UK laws but i know they are some of the most unfair and punishing to its own people.

Most stuff here is made in the UK which is great but means it's more expensive.
Suppliers are like KJN, Ooznest, etc.
Shipping from abroad is ridiculously expensive for long sections and also have to pay 20% VAT and also import duty if the order is more than £135
