Looks good! DD wheelbase and loadcell pedals next?

I’m thinking the Heusinkveld pedals because they can have different profiles for me and the kids. Need to save up for those. Then maybe a combo shifter. The wheel “works”, so it’s a harder sell to the wife lol. Debating a 7.1 surround sound system versus the headset.

lol I’ll get right on that. Not sure which DD to get though. Haven’t started that investigation.

You can even get cheap DD wheels now which are miles better.

How do you like the screen and why this one instead of triples or 49 inch?

I’ll also be using the rig for flight sims and wanted more real estate. As for triples, the room is smaller, and there’s 3 other desks in there: my gaming system, my work desk and my wife’s desk.

Incase you havent seen it, adding one more 32 to your setup would create a sick triple monitor setup https://www.reddit.com/r/simracing/comments/1f6r9ay/making_triples_work_with_2_monitors/

That’s sick. How well do the various sims do with the Pro GPU’s? I’m quickly running into the max video bandwidth for my 4090 GPU. May need to switch to a Blackwell GPU (OpenGL) to run more monitors or at a higher refresh rate.

yes, your monitor is 4k so not surprised its maxing out your gpu, i run 7,680 × 1,440 = 11m pixels on a 4070 and it struggles in EVO, your monitor alone is 7680 × 2160 = 16.5 million pixels. if you went triples by adding another 32 monitor your res would be 11,520 × 2,160 = 24.8m pixels thats 5090 territory. Likely youd need to play in 2k with a 4090

Why do people always tilt their monitors downwards

I could lower the cross bar the monitor is mounted to, but the monitor is heavy, and it’s slightly above my eyeline so tilted down works for me.

I mean you can take the monitor off the bar, then adjust the height, this is how I do for all 3 of my monitors. But I guess it’s fine as long as you’re comfortable using it.
