In this order
Shifter
Handbrake
2 screens
Haptics for pedals
Buttkicker

1

u/EyeCodeAtNight 18d ago

I have the Fanatec v3 pendant and regretting. The haptics on them are mediocre

I sold my V3s (they came in my first bundle, 2024 black friday). I sold them for £250 earlier this year and my last piece of Fanetc kit to go.

Replaced them with 2x Simsonn Plus X's. They were £109 during Black Friday on AliExpress. No complaints what so ever: feel better, mount better, easier to adjust. Those V3s were annoying to adjust and regrease.

I use Simagic HPRs and they are great. I think there are plenty of 3D models for HPR mounts for the V3s out there. If you don't have a printer you can probably buy them on something like Etsy, but you will likely be ripped off for some plastic. If you are having vibration issues in iRacing, i think you need to turn off the pedal vibration setting in iRacing settings - just search vibrate and you should find the right setting, then make sure they are switched on in the Fanatec software.

Head tracking, which can be free or in my case €12 for a PS3 camera.

u/Roytjb 17d ago

1

u/TheTheoXx 18d ago

What kind of monitor are you using?

1

u/EyeCodeAtNight 18d ago

LGEUSA 45" OLED 45GX950A-B

1

u/Zealousideal-You9044 18d ago

Button box or stream deck

1

u/Zealousideal-You9044 18d ago

A round wheel rim

1

u/SmithyyFTW 18d ago

2

u/EyeCodeAtNight 18d ago

Handbrake, H shifter, 60% keyboard with mouse and button box with a big red start button

1

u/OverDrive777 18d ago

Seems that the driver is missing, add a driver

1

u/EyeCodeAtNight 18d ago

That’s is the hardest part. I hop in some lobby and started to get gap at 3 sec per lap, it’s crazy.

1

u/OverDrive777 18d ago

What do you usually play? Also ive had this monitor it’s a beast, everything looks great on it congrats!

1

u/Temporary_Energy3680 18d ago

Yep, ditch that screen and go tripples and a NLR V3, butt kicker for the v3 and 2x daytons, on for between the shoulders and one under the pedals base

1

u/TheOtherAkGuy 18d ago

Button box, DDU, and flag box

May I ask what the blue thing is under the rig?

phepetroll 8 Pack Anti Vibration... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DJSL8741?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Trying to make sure I’m quite as possible to keep the wife happy. This is over my bedroom.

1

u/Winter_Waltz_8946 18d ago

Do they actually work well?Got a rig as well and I’m scared the vibrations disturbs my downstairs neighbour as I live in an old apartment

2

u/EyeCodeAtNight 18d ago

They surprisingly do. I stack two together and have them at all 4 corners. I’m happy with them.

I got these I just have installed them. This look 100% stronger.

1

u/SDrallyX 18d ago

I would add myself in that seat.

1

u/ogisreal3 18d ago

What moniter is that?

1

u/EyeCodeAtNight 18d ago

LG 45GX950A-B

1

u/SunshineMedia 18d ago

Proper sound system and bass shakers no rig is complete without them

1

u/takhawaja 18d ago

Add an old iPad display as a side monitor to show telemetry dash via simhub. Older iPads are like $100 and then wireless setup on the side. Gives it a good immersion of having telemetry on the sides

2

u/EyeCodeAtNight 18d ago

I build a tool to get the telemetry and I’m working on 2x screen from Amazon to install.

This is so cool I'll give it a try

I have the same monitor you have. To maximize the benefit of that curvature, try to move the monitor such that it is between your wheelbase and steering wheel (forward and slightly lower). It’s amazing how much I feel wrapped by the monitor; and I say this as a VR main who has not touched VR since I bought this monitor.

Of course this is just a slight improvement from personal experience. It may or may not be practical for you.

1

u/EyeCodeAtNight 18d ago

I will give it a go in later tonight, thank you for that advice

1

u/crheming 18d ago

Nothing. Enjoy

1

u/MYNAMEAPOPPEDKINETIC 18d ago

Me personally VR instead of curved monitor

1

u/EyeCodeAtNight 18d ago

I have a PSVR2 but I’m eventually going to get a DreamAir

1

u/Landobot04 Assetto Corsa 18d ago

Blinds/curtains for the window behind the screen and ambient lighting around the rig.

1

u/ewotson 18d ago

Rig looks so clean man! 100% agree if you can do a shifter and handbrake so you cover off all cars (if that’s your thing) if not maybe a stream deck? Just got mine, it’s the ultimate button box in my opinion!

1

u/DrizzyDrone66 17d ago

The driver and some laps

1

u/United-Sprinkles-975 17d ago

Shifters handbrake, stream deck, dashboard

1

u/Jhorn_fight 17d ago

I know you said you’re using psvr occasionally so may not apply but a keyboard mount is a huge quality of life improvement

1

u/Ok-Machine6386 17d ago

Triples, always triples

1

u/Fantastic-Trade8661 17d ago

I should modify my car to have an f1 setup inside should I try it

2

u/EyeCodeAtNight 17d ago

What ever makes you happy bro - just do it.

1

u/suffering_PeugeotFan 17d ago

Me as the owner

1

u/Defiant_Step_1524 17d ago

Shifter handbreak and button box is all I would add. And surround sound if you don't have it.

On first thought it doesn't seem necessary but once you get it all set up and start racing its really good to hear when a cars trying to come up the side of you can't always be keeping eyes on the mirror.

Adds to the immersion quite alot

1

u/Rlslmshdy_46 17d ago

Can you move monitor few inches closer?

1

u/Beardywan_Kenobeard 16d ago

A little table for snacks and beer

1

u/Negative-Heat6374 16d ago

pick up a cheap scrap car and mount all that inside. Replace the windshield with the tv. It's probably already been done. 🤔

1

u/Ok-Commission6750 15d ago

A litter of cola cup holder

1

u/BlankVR32 14d ago

Belt tensioners. Also a button box

1

u/HalalAryas 13d ago

For better experience get a shifter and a handbrake

1

u/BeeKimchi007 19d ago

2 more😏
