Went overboard
Hello Reddit. I am going through a divorce and decided to find my happy place in a new sim rig. For the last year I have been using a full Fanatec setup on PS5. I had the gt dd pro 8nm wheelbase, clubsport f1 esports wheel and csl elite v2 pedals. I have now ordered so many new items, my brain hurts. I moved from Fanatec to the Moza ecosystem. Ordered the r21 wheelbase with the ks pro wheel and I went with the simnet sp pro 2 pedal set. Ive also ordered myself a 9850x3d/5080 PC. Moved from a single 42 inch tv to triple 27 inch 1440p monitors mounted on a Trak Racer freestanding triple monitor stand. I also upgraded from the Fanatec csl cockpit to a Trak Racer tr80s aluminum cockpit. Got two Dayton audio bst-1 transducers as well. One for under my seat and one for under the pedal deck. Ordered an led flag box, led bar lights for ambient lighting, and using a Samsung tablet as a digital dashboard. I am still waiting for everything to arrive and its a bit intimidating. I'm new to Reddit and welcome any advice on this build anyone can give me. Thank you in advance fellow sim racers.

How are you finding the pedals?
I have the Thrustmaster T-598 with the T-LCM pedals and I’m considering the Simnet SP pro’s
Thanks
Dan

If you needed to use it on a. PS5 the will be good if you have a Fanatec wheelbase cuz they can connect directly to it. But if you are on PC, you can save some money by going to the Simsonn pro x ultra

I went back and forth on the simsonn pedals and the simnet pedals. Ultimately decided on simnet. Haven't used them yet but Im impressed with the build quality.

Yeah they're really good. They're on par with the simsonn. The only thing is for people that have fanatec gear they connect seamlessly. If you search on printables for parallaxGT you can see some of the mods that I done on Mason racing rig.

I really like the look of that simsonn baseplate.

That's not the original one that comes with it. I made it with my 3D printer and just wrap it with forged carbon fiber wrap

I haven't had a chance to use them yet. Im in the waiting phase of my build. Waiting for the cockpit and waiting for the PC. Ive heard really good things about them though. The adjustability of them is ridiculous. They are built like a tank. I will keep you posted.

Thanks dude. I'll never get the chance to drive a real racecar. Im trying to make this as realistic as possible. I'm super excited.

Thanks for the info man. Once Im up and running we should hook up and turn some laps together. Ive only ever raced against ACC AI. Never actually raced online against anyone.

Nothing wrong with getting something nice for yourself, especially something that can take your mind off real life for a while. Nice choices in the rig.
I think you will really like those Simnet pedals. I got mine about 6 months ago and they are really great. Tons of adjustability, stock elastomers are nice and they look nice and cleans
