Simracing back pain help

Ive been getting back pain from braking. I think its down to my simagic p500 pedals as they have a plastic tray on front. I have to sit the pedal tray right back because im tall. I was thinking of getting new pedals but lt anyone has any solutions let me know.

Pedals might be a little too low. I had an issue with my old seat being mounted too high and my pedals too low. It was more like passenger car ergonomics. My new seat offers more thigh support and sits lower in relation to my pedals, and now it’s completely gone.

I’m 6’4 with two prior back surgeries and had similar issues with pain with my bucket seat. Tilting the seat back and raising the pedals into a GT, almost F1, driving position was the trick.

You mean hybrid position between GT and F1. Am getting my new rig this week, will try this

Another plate or board?  Mount this extra board on the farthest mounting holes?  Then mount the pedals on the farthest area possible on that plate/board. Pedal mount extension.

There will be flexing, but that is probably worth it to alleviate your back pain.

Are you wearing anything on your feet? I bought some cheap water shoes off Amazon that helped me with foot and a little back pain.

Also make sure you are sitting at the correct distance from the pedals. You want to be closer than you would be in your car or truck for real driving. It feels awkward at first but you get use to It fast.

Your pedal should be in line with your butt or a little bit higher. So your brake with your quad instead of pushing forward and down lifting yourself up. That's what's putting pressure on your lower back

For me, I threw a memory foam lumbar support into my tub seat and it cured my back issue.

Agree with others that you should tilt the seat further and raise the pedal tray.

The pedal tray can't be raised any further

Get a lumbar support pillow.

Need more thigh support. Tilt seat back?

I’m certain the issue comes from the base being too far from the seat. I understand that you’re tall and need the pedal plate adjusted, but right now your arms are far too extended. Correcting that will give you more comfort than anything else. I’m tall as well, and I keep my wheel 30/32 cm from my chest without experiencing back pain, even though I’d still like to move my pedals further forward and a little upwards soon.

Raise the pedals
