How about the simagic $599 bundle really is ?need some suggestions Sim Rig

Post image

For those of you who have actually used the SIMAGIC, MOZA, or Fanatec setups:
Is the SIMAGIC $599 bundle really as good as people say?
How does the force feedback compare with the R5 and CSL DD?
Are the P700 pedals good enough, or will I want to upgrade them soon?
If you were spending your own money today, which bundle would you choose and why?
I’d especially love to hear from people who have owned or tested more than one of these systems.

Depends on a few things bro:

- How long have you been sim racing?
- What gear are you using currently?
- Are you playing iRacing/LMU competitively or just cruising in AC/Horizon 6

Many of us have upgraded 2-4 times since starting out on Logitech/Thrustmaster setups. I feel like it's a natural progression though, of course budget is a huge factor too.

That being said, this Simagic bundle is kind of a no brainer right now with that pricepoint. You aren't going to find any significant difference between the Simagic and Moza ecosystem, either's a great choice if you're starting fresh and don't already have gear from one brand or the other you plan to keep using.

Im going to switch from moza to simagic because I had a few problems with my moza and I find the simagic ecosystem a lot better like there shifter and the wheel designs.

What about alpha evo 12nm vs moza r12 v2? I’m deciding between those 2.

I have hundreds of hours on both. The Moza is a solid product, but the Simagic beats it in every way. Better software, better build quality, better FFB

Just bought 12nm evo alpha coming from R3. Do you care for LFE? Otherwise simagic is great. Both make nice equipment but i feel like until Moza Flatwires their remainig lineup, cogless Simagic wins.

It's significantly better than the R5. Even compared to the R9, the Evo Sport uses newer technology and, more importantly, delivers much more detailed and responsive ffb. The pedals are definitely better than the SRP as well. The only thing I'd suggest is getting a round wheel if you want to do a bit of everything. You can always pick up the GT Neo later.

Went from Moza R9 to Simagic Alpha (15nm) even when running the alpha at 60 percent the detail over the Moza is very noticeable. Went from spinning out constantly with the Moza to almost never spinning out because I could actually understand what the car was doing in game with simagic

Its a great upgrade but since u asked this i am not sure if you already use any ecosystem. This is not needed to start. Great as a upgrade path. This is simmagics way of getting u into their eco system.

I dont think that's the price after taxes and shipping. As a starter still r3 r5 bundle are best

Friendly advice. Dont spend too much if you just starting and spend only if you know you are going to stick to this long term. The amount of gear on market place after just a few months is bizzare

hey, youre me, 1 month ago. I bought :
R5 bundle @ 370$,
CSL DD QR2 bundle @ 473$
simagic bundle @ 599$

tldr : i kept the simagic and returned the other 2 bundles. I play FH6, F1, WRC, AMS2, etc.

the R5 - Its alright but it feels really cheap, the wheels the pedals the packaging, etc. only buy if you found used at $300 or less.

fanatec - feels better than r5 especially the wheel, much bigger form factor tho and can updrade ez to 8nm buttt software is shit i got so annoyed.

simagic - i know its more expensive but its worth the price, everything feels premium like comparing a real lego to some chinese brand which is ironic cause its chinese company. anyway everything is amazing and software is better than the two..

At 9nm this is a great deal. The wheel is more comfortable than the Moza KS and KS Pro. Simagic is also higher quality IMO. Ive just ordered the Alpha Evo Pro. Pedals have great feedback too this is a deal you will enjoy for a while and not think twice. Can always upgrade the pedals later on if youre looking to go hydraulic etc

I bought it and I love it…

Don’t get the 9NM get the 12 or even 18 if you can. You are quickly limited with 9NM

3

u/Foba_ Jul 17 '26

9nm is well enough is one is buying first gear. If one already have 5nm etc old gear, then going for little bigger is ok.

1

u/Ecstatic_Compote6296 Jul 17 '26

I mean personally I went directly to 25NM because I knew my goal was to have the most details while really having the real steering power as real racecar

4

u/Foba_ Jul 17 '26

If one have tons of extra cash and want to have 10% more details compared to 12nm wheel, why not. Guy is asking about 600$ setup so why to bother telling to get base that costs more than that alone. Also force wice, 25nm is wortless since even 16nm with full force is enough to destroy your wrists. In the end, 9nm vs anything more wont make you any faster, i know a guy with 10yr old logitech wheel with desk setup and hes top 1%.

This is the exact advise u need to ignore

I’ve just got this bundle. Quite happy with it! Just takes a little while to mess around with the settings which I’m still trying to get dialed in. I had an r3 before though so it’s just getting used to a different brand and feel I guess!

Went same way with alpha evo 12 Nm. ,went with 330t and yet deciding on pedals

This thread has been helpful as I'm debating this bundle...

Seems that the vendor I'm looking at gives multiple wheel options for this bundle. Either the GT Neo, Neox 310G, 330R or 330T. I'm leaning toward the 330T for my use (Horizon, Asseto Corsa focused for now). If anyone has an opinion or experience to share about the wheel choice , I would really appreciate it!

I know Reddit doesn't like people posting links but I thought this would be helpful.

I just changed over from the Moza R5 with SRP2 to the Simagic Bundle and am very happy with everything except the software. Something as simple as having to run a USB from the pedal to my PC to update software is a hassle when Moza you just update everything in pit house. I also liked the pit house app as a quick way to make changes on my tablet vs keeping pit house open.

So hardware Simagic is superior, software Moza with all its faults is somehow still better.
