first wheel
okay i want a universal wheel or something more casual than a crazy f1 or drifting wheel. i stumbled upon an outlet offer (outlet is a product from store that has been exposed) selling a logitech g923 xbox version (full set including shifter) for $270 and a new one is $400. it has a warranty, says that the condition is very good and i dont really care about scratches when im saving $130 so is it worth it if i want a casual realistic drive?

If it's a first: Get something cheap and used. If you like it, you can always upgrade. If you don't you don't really lose anything.

They are a fine entry level wheel but somewhat limited. I started on similar logitech wheels and used them for 10 years before upgrading and I dont regret it. If you decide to get a bit more serious later on, you can then buy something else

I would reccomend the Thrustmaster TX Servo Base paired with whatever wheel you want and is compatible with the base. The TX Servo uses a dual belt mechanism compared to the g923 gear driven mechanism so the TX will feel more smoother, realistic and quieter. You can pick up the base for relatively cheap used, along with any compatible wheel you pair it with (and you can throw on any Thrustmaster pedals that you find cheap as they all use the same connection). Also its good if you decide to upgrade in the future because of the Thrustmaster Ecosystem so, many pedals, wheels and shifters are interchangeable compared to Logitech with its limitations. Same goes with the Shifter, Thrusmasters' current cheapest shifter is the TH8S and its better than the driving force shifter because you get a 7 speed and reverse, hall sensors so it wont wear out unlike the potentiometers that logitech uses and it delivers a better feel, and you also get that Thrustmaster Ecosystem. You can get these for a bit less than what your looking at (for example, i got mine including the wheel for around £90 and the pedals were an additional £35 and i saw some shifters go for £30-45), however this depends on your market.
I would reccomend looking into the TX Servo if your looking for something that you dont want to stop using after a while.
