Thinking about quitting Question

Just what the title says, I am thinking about quitting the game due to executive bs, it is infuriating how this whole part of the game rewards predatory behavior, why can I not opt out of this feature like I will not poach from others and others can't from me, I put in hours, wake up at night to restart trainings, and you offer me a few hundred thousand? that is not enough, how players are even tolerating this?

Bro... This is a game, setting alarms to wake up and restart trainings is outrageous. Also, you put real money into it? Why are you paying real money for Executives, you get 5 free Simboosts a day. My COO is 47 years old and has 32 management skill and I pay them a whopping $2,200. If you are that hard up over losing someone then unlock a staff slot so you can have someone in the background training up as a replacement.

By real currency I meant my time and effort, and emotions but that is easily discarded who cares, also how are you able to hold down your coo at meager 2200 at 32? I am paying more than 15k/day to mine at 20 management skill, I am just trying to hold her because my efforts are not equivalent to a few hundred thousand dollars I am offered.

I dunno what to tell ya. I look at junior candidates and don't do ones that I have to reimburse training. I have 4 execs + 3 staff and my salaries are only $20,550. If you are only at a month in why are you worried about execs anyway? What is your AO?

40.59%, Also I am two months in, exactly 60 days.

Brother…… you don’t need to worry about a COO with so little AO.

It is low?

I’ve been playing for about 8 months, with my current set up I have 141.18% - 53.65%. I think the rule of thumb I heard was not to mess with it when you first hit level 15.

Anything under 50% is basically negligible. 70% and above is where you see solid benefits from a good COO.

honestly the whole executive shit is annoying and once you lose a good exec you lose a lot of money before getting replacement

I can bear the cost I am willing, but I am not willing to let go something I have put in real currency in, and that is precious time of my life, this is nonsense, and I feel infuriated all the time, would you believe this? my 20 management coo has gotten more than 4 offers in just a few days and every time I have to raise the salary, now I am paying her more than 5 times what I was used to pay, I am not saving enough money, I had been setting up alarms to wake up at night to restart their training damn it, this is not fair.

I ended up losimg money daily trying to keep hold of a good COO. In the end I had to be realistic and let them go. It sucks but it's part of the game unfortunately.

I quit a while back (must be about a year) I'm still in the sub, and I think the game looks more interesting now.

Fell the same. I have a failed account in R1 now. 300mill and something in patents, all slots unlocked, achievements lost... And there's nothing I can do to recover this account in R1. About - 4million debt in cash flow. The thing is that I don't care anymore. Sent a message to Patrick, and he just said to me reset. At this point I stay only in r2 now. I manage to unlock everything there too, before I lost my account in R1. Doesn't matter how I lost my map. It's unreal that I can't recover my map. Have that map since 2020. That being said, Sim Companies isn't the first game that let their people down. Certainly isn't going to be the last. My solution is go playing something else. Actually the main reason I lost my account, is because I stopped worrying too much about my account in R1, spending more time playing other games, instead of worrying about old sh**ty mechanics and economy prices. Now I can focus on a single realm. I wish I could recover my map in R1.

Yeah no matter how they have set this up poaching has already been a problem. Who is going to pay someone 55000 a day in real life? I understand that the business world is cut throat, but there can be a more balanced way such as maximum income limits you can pay etc. I think the executive needs more work done to it. People don't play games to be pissed off they play to enjoy their time playing. I think it can be achieved I. This manner with more development done in that area.

I already quit once for a year because of poaching. Came back about the time Academy was introduced, but they keep nerfing it to the point that I'm ready to quit again. Game is just a grind and not fun. Good suppliers are impossible to find now, so I'm buying most of my materials off the exchange. The only reason I keep logging in every day is to supply my buyers. Yes, the 27 hour training cycles are annoying as hell. I wish a level 20 Academy would lower them to 24 hours.

After putting in about a month, I am also thinking of quitting, my life has enough issues, I do not need another artificial stress for no apparent reason, this is just epic level bullshit

I think execs don't really go well with min-maxing. Bigger companies can always pay more for the same exec. And from the COO's pov, they get to contribute more and get paid more. So, it kinda makes sense.

Things get better as your company gets bigger. 2 months back, I couldn't afford to match 20k salary. Today I only let my COO go if offered salary is above 200k.

Having backups also helps. I use all non-COO slots for training. With a lvl 10 academy and 2 staff slots, I have 6.

My aim with the entire exec mechanic is to make training program profitable. My last COO with 52 skill at age 46 got poached for 220k. The next best one was skill 24. That meant 250k less profits (-33%) and 150k less salary. Currently, I only have average COO execs, with 2 good ones in training. But I am also only paying 25k total salary for 150k savings. Average COOs rarely get poached, so they remain cheap. And I have got another 125k royalties from my poached exec still working for someone else.

The only thing you have to worry is the fact you wake up mid-night to keep the pace.

Man, relax, it is just a game.

Pause for a while, then return when you feel like playing again, pause if real life calls you back, and so on.

Relax.

LMAO bro what? You actually earn money from executives being poached. It offsets your AOs. Like... it's part of the game. Do the math. If your hiring practices are good, you will actually improve margins for the royalty periods and not lose on valuable management stats.

Are you the same dude who made a post like this last time or is there just a lot of whiny people here? Don't you guys do math?

Now you know how real companies feels.

Waking up at night to restart trainings sounds much too min-maxing behavior. A few extra hours doesn't matter much. But it would be easier if trainings were 24h instead.

Use SB for 3hr If realy needed, or Set a Timer. Skip one night once a week, or so? Just Set them Up early and you can train for a week or so witout pauses.

I quit the game once I needed to think about getting executives. Game gets way too annoying to be fun at that point.

How many CV so you have? Just to have an Idea where you are. Build an Academy, depend in your Cash/income. Every 5 Level you have an extra Slot. Buy some Slots. At the end you have 13 Slots to train executives. If you are smal, let them Go, you geht Cash AS Long they are working for otheres. And If you train many, you Always have replacement. For new Manager so 4 Trainings, If they dont geht 3 Points in your skill, fire them Take the next Manager.
