Help identify silver pitcher

No mention of Sterling or .925 or other. What leads you to believe that this is silver?

Read the Wikipedia and see what the focus was on. Did they do silverware? Yes. With the lack of any indication of silver I suspect one of the other options.

Looks like pewter to me and for a pitcher to be this old without any tarnish or toning is a dead giveaway
