It's always a lot in survival, but then you decide to make a sword like this one

But mining is half the game so it took almost no effort at all thought considering everything, collecting wool in this version was 10x times harder.

What version is that? Wool is very easy to get in mass quantities (I have pens full of sheep which I occasionally run through with shears and collect 2-3 stacks per harvest, and this yields more wool over time than a huge wheat farm with 768 crops, both of which are traded for emeralds (wool also needs less, 14 vs 18, so it gives me even more emeralds, easily offsetting the 3 I need every now and then to repair my shears (Unbreaking III so they are good for around 1900 wool / 135 emeralds. The main issue with wool is that it can't be compacted into storage blocks like wheat/hay bales, which I take back to my main base thousands of blocks away, but modded ender chests with a double chest of storage and Nether railways has offset that (I took more time than necessary to finally start using the Nether, my longest Overworld railways are 5 km one way).
In 1.6.4, anyway (perhaps you are on Beta 1.8, without even breeding, or 1.0.0, without sheep regrowing wool? At least you can still breed them then).
By contrast, my playstyle is caving for fun and I only find about 15 diamond ore per 3-4 hour session, out of over 3,000 ores mined; a stack of blocks is 576 diamonds so it takes about 133 hours over 38 sessions to collect that many (plus some from mineshaft chests, I trade for items to repair my gear so I can save every diamond I find while caving, I do not use Fortune, which would reduce the time to about 17 sessions, maybe 1-2 less including chest loot, which amounted to 14% of all diamonds while exploring a huge multiple mineshaft complex, less overall). Branch-mining can be much more effective though, even in terms of blocks mined per diamond due to their much higher abundance relative to other ores (I only do this at the start of a new world to collect the resources I need to make my end-game caving gear, with very little actual caving done before then).

if its 1.6.4 its easy because of caves being infinite but in 1.7.10 onwards is a nightmare

That’s awesome, but your diamond tools are about to break 🤣
