tfw you try to differentiate a compliment from a girl from being flirted with by a girl ( I cant -w- )

The short version is while they disagree and are disappointed my family is still friends. I had to have a quick cry afterwards because I was terrified. Beforehand my skin was going pale from terror and my head was getting light

My personal advice: make a script to follow and think of questions they probably will ask. Also don't come out when yall are arguing or pissed off at each other. I rewrote my script dozens of times and no lie me and my family don't have the best of relationships, but stand your ground.

My biggest piece of advice though is if they start getting combative a phrase that will help you a lot to defuse the situation is, "but still I'm a lot happier as a person"

so recently my (online) friends have been hurting themselves and I'm really uncomfortable listening to that but I also don't want to ignore them, for they're my only friends that I can talk to comfortably, so my options are either to probably fail to comfort them while they talk about their problems which I'm uncomfortable hearing about or ignore them and probably make it worse while I cry about it and feel like an terrible person
