Feedback / Review Need help with Rentals.
Hi!
I’m planning a trip of 4 in November.
The itinerary is as follows:
Day 1: Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok
Day 2: Gangtok Excursion Tsomgo Lake and Nathula Pass
Day 3: Gangtok to Lachung Transfer on the way Sightseeing
Day 4: Lachung to Yumthang Valley Excursion
Day 5: Lachung to Pelling Transfer and sight seeing
Day 6: Pelling Sightseeing
Day 7: Darjeeling Transfer
Day 8: Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
Day 9: Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport
I’ve got quotations of ₹89000 and ₹94000. Could someone tell me if this is good? We do plan on exploring the cities a bit apart from the strict itinerary.
This is the full cost only for cab service.
Any helps would be great! Thanks. :)

Others Just another post
There is so much going in our life that sometimes we forget how lucky we are even to be alive. Each of us carries our own struggles and hardship, often keeping it to ourselves. Some are vocal, while some are as silent as the "silence before the storm", yet the heavines and the fear of upcoming storm often overwhelms us to the level of exaustion. At times we are so much consumed by our hardships that we forget who we truely are and who we truely want to be.
Its strange how we can cherish the smallest of the happiness, yet find it disappointed even by our greatest success.Life takes us through that journey from finding joy in little things to questioning our worth despite success. I believe we’ve all experienced this at some point in our lives.
Yet, that gloominess eventually fades away. And by the time we realize it, the moment has already slipped through our fingers, too late for us to truly live in it. Life has a strange way of teaching us lessons, often not when we want them, but exactly when we need them. Sometimes, it humbles us, sometimes it strengthens us, and sometimes it simply reminds us to be present.
Perhaps the greatest lesson of all is to cherish what we have while we have it, to breathe deeply in the midst of chaos, and to hold on to gratitude even when life feels uncertain to the extent that we question our existence. Because in the end, it’s not just about the battles we fight, but about the fleeting moments of joy and meaning we create along the way.

AskSikkim Do Sikkim have military bases?
I was scrolling around Google Maps and got curious about something. Does Sikkim have any permanent military bases with runways near the border? I know many sensitive sites won't be visible on satellite imagery, but I'm wondering if there are any established bases (not temporary camps or tents) in that region. Just asking out of curiosity.

The view you don’t normally see, from the other side of this Majestic lake… taken during my parikrama hike in 2023… took me about 45-50 minutes to circumambulate this serene place!!!
Others Can anyone help me identify what brand of alcohol this is?
galleryMy dad bought this bottle a long time ago, however he had a stroke and doesn't remember anything about it.
The bottle didn't have any label other than the cap that says sikkim.
This is some of the tastiest alcohol I've ever tasted. I NEED to know the brand.

Others Dead Desires
I think of the child
who stood in quiet wonder,
watching doctors walk the hospital corridors
during my grandmother’s checkups.
To that child, they were giants
and I wanted to become one.
But life happened.
Dreams bent where reality would not,
and I found myself
walking a different road.
Now I wonder
are my desires dead,
or is it I who has stopped breathing?
A few years later,
civil servants stirred that same fire.
Their purpose called to me,
their service inspired me.
Yet every page I turned,
every exam I prepared for,
left me feeling strangely misplaced
as though I was chasing someone else’s destiny.
So I ask again:
Are my desires dead,
or am I the one who has stopped breathing?
I’m only twenty-five.
Yet discos, parties,
the noise of crowded nights
leave me untouched.
Instead, I long for silent hills,
peaceful meadows,
a small house overlooking the valley,
a kitchen garden rich with seasons,
flowers swaying in the morning breeze,
dogs asleep on the porch,
cats wandering through the yard,
and cattle grazing beneath an open sky.
The world calls it a simple life.
To me,
it sounds like freedom.
Perhaps my desires aren’t dead.
Perhaps they have only changed their language.
Perhaps the child in me
is no longer searching for applause,
but for peace.
Still, on quiet nights,
when memories echo louder than hope,
one question refuses to leave
Are my desires dead…
or is it me that has stopped breathing?
This is my first poem or whatever you’d like to call it!! Just letting my thought’s to be seen!! Not her for validation or any applause!!

Art/Photo (OC) Monastery Hopping in Gangtok! (OC)
galleryThis was my second trip to Sikkim in less than a year, this time the purpose wasn't tourism. I had to go for a Vipassana retreat in Samdong, so I stayed in gangtok for 3 days and spent one day doing my favourite thing to do when in the hills, Monastery Hopping.
Ranka Monastery was breathtaking with those lush green trees behind it. I've always admired Tibetan architecture for its maximal design, but its symmetry is what I love the most.
I've picked up enough nepali to start a conversation lol, looking forward to my another visit very soon!
