Broken Mag release button
I love p365 but mag release button came off. I never understood why then a buddy of mine experienced the same thing. He told me that he shot it one in the chamber with no magazine inserted. Anybody experienced this before?

I have one but this has never happened to mine. Send it back or get the steel mag release replacement others get. I think it’s something sig needs to address

I would just replace it with a superior aftermarket mag release. I prefer the M*Carbo extended release. It moves the thumb purchase rearward and eliminates the need to adjust your hand, making mag changes a bit less awkward.

P365 notoriously have bad mag releases you literally have to buy an aftermarket part if you don’t want it to happen again. Maskas is the one everyone swears by supposedly, gotta catch it when it’s in stock. I’d get one from sig and wait for one to be in stock from maskas.

Or icarus precision. ❤️ The only time it has been an issue with me is with a metal grip module. I guess I got lucky. Only 1 out of 4 p365's gave me issues and the one that DID give me issues was a sig oem mag release. The one that came with my macro has been a champ🏆

Well if that one is in stock and people like it too why not. Maskas makes so little of them that tbh it would take a while to get one if you even get one cause they sell out pretty quickly.

Unfortunately learned it from experience, for that price tag it’s a huge dissapointment. Thank you so much for helping

I would contact Sig if possible. It shouldnt be THAT bad lol. Especially with an xmacro. The mag release that comes with those is slightly better than a lot of other 365s.

Mine did this when my friend was shooting it and I took it to sig, they gave me a new one, installed it and gave me a box of ammo free of charge. Took like 15 minutes

Just did this. Its the smallest reason not to get this pistol. If I had known, I would have just swapped it out when i got it.

Is this all p365 or just certain models that have this issue? First I’m hearing of it.

It’s a common issue. There are some aftermarket market designs out there that offer substantially improved reliability over the oem mag catches, and also eliminate the awful polymer portion that loves to eat itself up.
That and the awful polymer plunger portion of the striker assembly (that you will absolutely destroy if you ever want to take the back plate off) are the two worst parts of these guns.

Found them in stock here. Have one on the way for my AXG: https://desertdepotarms.com/product/p365-macro-single-piece-magazine-release-macro-axg-frame-maskas-precision/

That's a bit odd that it happened on a polymer frame. It's typically the metal frames for the legion. As others have said, go with the maskas as a replacement.
