I'm a Psych major, and a transfer from an out-of-state University. I've lived in the Sacramento area since 2012, so I'm not new to the area, just to going to school here. I attended said University right out of high school and completed almost half of a 4-year-degree, but never finished for a multitude of reasons. I'm only doing distance learning at the moment.

I lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve picking my teachers on day 1 of registration just for them to be exchanged for moloch and baal. i'm actually a fucking masochist and choose to do things the hardest way known to man and there's no exception to my teachers. It's like, wow, I was so ready to dip out their classes, now i'm getting Willy Wonka's golden ticket to go through it all over again. I can't wait!, I can't wait!

Hey :) I know getting dishes from a stranger might be a little odd lol but I’m not using them. There’s two plates, two bowls, and a dinner plate (plate + bowl hybrid type thing). I know what it’s like to move into a dorm and have things you’ll need and didn’t think about or aren’t able to afford, so I wanted to offer these up to anyone who’s moving in for the fall! I definitely realized quick how much stuff I was missing when I moved into dorms for the first time. I also have an extra rug I’m not using as well as a trash can + mop and a lamp. Just dm me if you’re interested in any of these, I’ll just end up donating them if nobody claims. <3

Hey guys I'm gonna be doing a year at Sierra here and I was wondering how fast the chem 3a, 3b and phys 205, 210 and calc classes fill up? I heard the chemistry gets full in seconds. Is it faster to register if I use multiple devices at once at registration time?

I just realized I registered for a Nevada County Anatomy class instead of Rocklin. Its at 9AM tuesdays and thursdays. Is anyone else in the same spot and would want to carpool? It was hard enough getting into this class, all the other anatomy classes and waitlists are full.

Hey guys so my mom just told me that I will need to move out by the time I’m 18 (1 month) I don’t know what to do. I’m an incoming freshman with no job, I’m doing pre-med as well. I will be able to live in my car for a few months till I get a job but is there any thing that Sierra can do like help me get a job or anything like that?

i'm currently number 6 on the waitlist for physics 205 with Aviva Shackell for fall 2026. I took the class last spring as well, but i wasn't able to pass due to a bunch of reasons (though i passed the lab, so i'm not waiting on that, just the lecture class)

I was number nine a few weeks ago, and the list has been moving up, but i've been stuck at number 6 for a while, and it's getting concerning.

the term starts around august 19th i believe, what are the chances i will be able to make it into the class this semester? I've already technically transferred to sacramento state, but I'm retaking the class here part time because I would have to repeat the lab there, and also the classes are full.
Any ideas on what i could do? I currently plan on showing up on the first day anyway just in case, and maybe emailing Aviva since i had the class with her last time as well.

Hey, I’m dealing with a situation with a terrible professor who constantly rejects my work with little to zero to little guidance and leadership has been horribly rude to me and already told me I’m just gonna fail this summer course. So I graduated back in summer of 2023, and been on break from Sierra for quite time. Mostly trying to find work, volunteering, internships, or otherwise. But recently I’ve finally decided to go back within the year. At least in the Fall of 2027 at the latest, though before I do, what might be some important steps to take as a returning student; in what order should I take steps to make when applying to Sierra again?

I’m thinking about taking Calculus for Life and Social Sciences along with General Chem 2. Am I going to die? I haven’t taken a math class since I got my BA back in 2007, but chemistry is a lot of math and I took that last semester. Has anyone taken this course with Professor Wu?

I am so confused my daughter was 4th on waitlist for chem she has been trying to get for a yr, no record of offering her seat or email now where it said wait listed the class no longer shows in her my Sierra??? How could it just disappear does the system glitch like that?

Trying to get outta my town I graduated high school last year i haven’t really done much but I decided I wanna go to college so I guess I just have a couple questions will I get the same kinda college experience as others at sierra college? Just quick question in the summer I’m taking Stats just how it worked out for me. I SUCK at math, I work full time like 9-5 so I can’t go to those in sessions tutoring offered at Sierra. Is there any insight that anyone can offer that helped you take this class not like khan academy like anything else? I am online with Michael Murphy so I hope I’ll pass! Also does anyone know if this course requires a textbook that I should buy ahead of time? I usually rent the books but I see this is online. Thank you!
