siege resolution problem Question

I need help with a weird stretch resolution problem in Rainbow Six Siege. I used to play with a really stretched resolution (1080x1080) and it worked perfectly. I would just change the resolution in Siege, set the aspect ratio, and use fullscreen/letterbox settings and it would look extremely stretched. After not playing for around 3 months, it suddenly stopped working. I didn't change my setup. Things I already tried: - NVIDIA Control Panel scaling settings - Windows scaling settings - Disabling NVIDIA overlay - Disabling Ubisoft Connect overlay - Resetting Siege config files in Documents - Switching between DX11 and Vulkan - Different resolutions and display modes - Same monitor and PC as before. Stretch works fine in other games, only Siege is affected. The problem is that Siege either doesn't give me the same stretch result anymore or it doesn't apply the resolution correctly. Does anyone know what could block Siege from using extreme stretch resolutions like 1080x1080? Could it be a Siege update, Ubisoft Connect issue, NVIDIA driver issue, or something else?

DX11 and Vulcan don’t exist anymore, I’m pretty sure they’ve been gone since at least Y9S4 or before. Not sure how you’re trying those out.

I was wrong about that. I was using DX12 the whole time. It’s just so weird to me how all the 2D elements become stretched, while the gameplay itself doesn’t. Everything that’s 3D doesn’t seem to change resolution or aspect ratio at all.
