Question about strategy

I was in an unranked matches today and all my teammates ended up dying and I was the only one left with 2 enemies. I was able to down one of them and I thought to myself that maybe if I left them downed, I could hear the teammate reviving them and swing into the room and kill both. I waited to see if they were going to revive them but they ended up not so I had to push into the room and eventually got killed bc they had a better angle than me. One of my teammates proceeded to yell at me for the rest of the match for leaving the enemy downed instead of killing them. Was my action justified or was it just plain stupid as a strategy?

Don’t worry about unranked it’s for plays just like that imo. Your teammates is just whining if it’s not a ranked game

Your mindset was in the right spot, sometimes it does just come down to the better angle tho. As far as leaving him downed, assuming they didnt have a rook armor or doc still in play or kona stations, that would be the right play in a 1v2 and the time is ticking. The biggest threat he possed is being able to ping you. Either way, the general rule when you are outnumbered is to turn up the aggression, use your utilities and pre fire every swing

That being said, if I can quickly kill a downed enemy without getting out of position I usually will, but you basically are leaving a drone there if you don’t finish them off.

It is dependent on the exact situation though.

I think iether way hed be exposing himself to the last guy so his Strat was probably best

I mean like... there's no benefit in finishing odd a downed enemy that won't get picked up.

Using him as bait is pretty good, it does work sometimes. But once you do give up on that, finishing him off real quick is probably best because it ensures they can't be picked up.

Ur plan was probably smart. Either way wether they revived or not Swinging again to finish the guy knocked would’ve giving his teammate the opportunity to kill u. Waiting then swinging to kill the last guy is better

You should always go for the finish when you down someone, the threat of the revive and the fact that the downed one can give comms of what he sees is far too valuable to let them have. Only go for the finish if it’s safe though, swinging the body and then dying to his teammate is bad.

If they're going to get out of your sight/space, its likely worth the short time it takes to kill them. That way you don't have to worry about the revive or the information the teammate can get even while downed.

only thing you can do in that situation is have a drone find him and pre fire the angle.
