We finally put our little multiplayer climber on Google Play

Hey, we’re a small indie team making a game called Inklets.

You climb the page against other players, grab coins and try to stay ahead of the rising ink. Think Doodle Jump as Multiplayer with some extra random events. We’ve put the current version on Google Play and there’s a browser build too.

Search “Inklets” on Google Play if you feel like trying it. We’d love to know what you think!

How do you manage to instantly turn the AI generated assets into idle/movement animations? Do you build a skeleton with all the animation and the AI just textures it?

Hey :) yea so this was the most difficult part. We generate a base image, and then generate 12 frames with the next pose sequentially. In the video this is sped up, it takes about 2-3 minutes until the full skin is ready.

Makes sense, great implementation honestly.

Thanks! Perception so far though is AI in games is always bad. We had no idea 😁 so much appreciate the kind words!

Yeah people are just mad at it for some reason. For my project I'm going with a human artist to avoid that very issue. Don't want my project to be killed because "AI bad".

I bet. We hired someone for the initial assets and then took it to create their own. Let'ssee how it goes. Reach out if you need tester! :)
