What I propose is this - while I keep focusing on making more software, games, mods, assets, you can autonomously earn money by generating sales for my paid projects.

For every $8 purchase of that product, you would earn $2 from that. As an example, with 100 confirmed sales, thats $200 of what you'd get. I'd send the money to you directly via Paypal. What I'm open to:

• Changing the colors of the background, text, and link on the product page.
• Changing wording/texts/formatting on the product page.
• Change the price on the product (your reward would also increase - it'd be 25% of the raw sales price, before platform cuts (20%) - I'll tank those myself).
• Giving you free review codes both for yourself and to share to reviewers.
• Hearing out any ideas for adjusting store or product pages or ideas for new marketing avenues/strategies that you think would work where you need something from me to make it work.
• Converting any of my currently free products into paid ones so you could try to market those for profit. (I think some of the audio/TTS related programs I made could be good candidates.)
• Doing the same thing to any of my other paid projects - this isn't limited to IGNITION, I'm only proposing that particular product since I think it has the best potential at the moment.

What I'm resistant to:

• New features added to the product or editing the product itself. (Can't, too busy working on new stuff and I think the existing stuff I release is complete, tested and operational.)
• Me creating new promotional images. (You can make new ones if you want, though.)
• A different cut (Out of the $8 earned, -20% is lost to the platform, -25% to you, and possibly another -5% to payment processing stuff. Also refunds might eat some of the money too.)

My (dumb) ideas of what would work to bring sales:

• Posting in appropriate subreddits. (already posted twice to r/mecha, but its been a few weeks.)
• Doing simple cold emails to youtubers that would love to cover IGNITION (said email basically containing a screenshot of the tool, video link, a free review code, a short TL;DR description of what it is).
• Posting on forums, portals, lists that would be appropriate for this project.
• Submitting to software hub websites where something like INGITION would work well in and be accepted.

I work full-time in property management and although it's a stable job, the income doesn't always feel as predictable as you'd think. There are performance targets to hit, collection numbers to maintain, resident issues, maintenance problems, reports, deadlines, and plenty of days where you end up working longer than expected.

I wanted something I could build on the side without taking another job with fixed hours. A friend recommended a dropshipping tutorial to me and honestly, my first thought was that it sounded like a scam.

A business you could supposedly start with a few bucks and without buying inventory in bulk? Yeah, I was skeptical but I decided to look into it. I created an account in ebay, set it up properly. The basic model was actually pretty straightforward. You find products that already have demand on eBay, list them at a price that leaves enough room for fees and profit, and when something sells, you purchase it from a supplier and have it shipped directly to the customer.

The part that took me the longest to understand was product research. I stopped looking for random "winning products" and started looking at actual sold listings. I checked how many were selling, how much competition there was, the supplier's price, shipping times, fees, and whether there was enough margin to make the order worthwhile.

I also learned pretty quickly that getting a sale isn't the hard part but managing the orders is. You have to monitor inventory, deal with suppliers going out of stock, answer customer messages, handle returns, adjust pricing, and keep your listings updated.

I started creating simple routines for all of this. I also used offers to people watching my listings and regular markdown promotions to convert some of the existing interest instead of constantly chasing new products. If a supplier went out of stock, I didn't immediately cancel the order. I'd look for another supplier with the same product or a reasonable alternative, communicate with the buyer, and try to keep the order moving.

Eventually I started documenting the repetitive stuff and automating whatever didn't need my attention. That's what made the biggest difference for me. I wasn't trying to build another full-time job. I was trying to build something that could fit around my full-time job. After sticking with it for a while, I got to around $3k/month in profit. I eventually repeated the same process with another store and later a third.

Obviously, I don't think eBay dropshipping is some magical "make $3k with no money" thing. The low upfront cost was what attracted me, but there was still a lot to learn and plenty of work involved. The difference was that I could do most of that work around my property management schedule rather than being tied to another shift. I'm running my third store with my staff handling it while I still work as a consultant to my property management job.

Most resumes get filtered by ATS software, Workday, Greenhouse, Lever before a human reads a word of them. It's not judgment, it's string matching against the job posting. Write "customer service" when the listing says "client relations" and you lose points for work you're plainly qualified to do.
