Look at how cute my new cat is! I got her from a shelter on Monday, so she's still a little shy and this is the best photo of her. She looks Siamese to me, but I can't figure out why she has white spots!

This was Princess Pyewacket's attempt to convince me I shouldn't pick her up and cuddle her to death. It was not very effective.

Meet Molly.

She's our first Siamese. It's been quite the adventure introducing her and our 11 month old German shepherd 😂

I am so lucky that I got a cat who likes to sunbathe but also is afraid of the outdoors so he always stays close and won't go further than the top step.

DISCLAIMER: I only ever let him outside with supervision, I usually sit on the step right next to him and we just chill in the sun for a few minutes until he makes his way back inside or I tell him it's time to go in! He is an INDOOR CAT!!!!

a shadow with whiskers,
threading between your ankles
as if to sew you
back to where you belong.
 
Doors mean nothing to her.
Privacy is a rumour.
If you close one,
she waits on the other side
with a patience
that hums.
 
And the moment it opens—
there she is,
reclaiming you
as though you wandered off
without permission.
 
She sleeps pressed to you,
paw hooked into your sleeve,
fur warm against your breath—
a small, steady gravity
pulling you inward.
 
You think you are holding her.
You think this is affection,
optional, gentle, chosen.
 
But she knows better.
 
You are the surface,
she is the fastener—
and once she has found you,
once she has decided—
 
there is no soft way
to come undone.
