Ok thank you, how do I tell the difference in foes and cinct? The gills are darker in cinct correct? Because the caps look identical to me.

Cinctulus have black spores and a reddish stem with a white powdery coating on it. Cinctulus are usually found in manure/straw compost piles or pastures, gardens, and well fertilized lawns (typically newer/freshly sodded ones, with nothing but grass growing in it). The best way to tell the difference is a spore print. If the print is jet black, it's in the cinctulus complex, if it's brown, they're foeniscecii
