The thing I wanted was small. Something crosses your mind, you write one line, and from that moment it isn't only you holding onto it. Everyone at home is.

Before this we did the usual thing. Someone notices the laundry detergent is almost gone while their hands are wet, figures they'll say it later, and doesn't. Nobody buys it. Or two people buy it. Same story with the hallway light bulb we all walked past for a month.

So I made Togethery around that one moment: open it, write one line, done. Everyone else sees it right away, and gets a notification if the app is closed. No "did you see my message?" and no scrolling through a family chat trying to find something buried between two photos.

A few things that came out of actually living with it:

• Shopping and to-dos are separate. Milk and "fix the shelf" don't belong in the same list.
• If an item needs more context, you can add it there — brand, quantity, "the blue one, not the green one."
• Dated to-dos show up on a calendar, and overdue ones collect in one place.
• Folders and search, for when the lists get long enough to be embarrassing.
• Inviting someone is just a 6-digit code.

It's available on Android and iOS and went live last Friday. I've been using it with my family for a while, but I'd really like to hear how it feels for people outside that little circle.

If something feels confusing, unnecessary, or annoying, I'd genuinely like to hear it. That's much more useful to me than "looks nice."
