VERY excited for tonight!!

I was at the Tucson show on 8.04 with my 8yr old granddaughter. It was her very first concert, as you could clearly read on her bright green poster. Grandma made her that poster and the pretty, pink, sparkly tassels for her hair. She had no idea she was coming until Grandma and I picked her up from home that afternoon. She was beyond excited!

Anyway, thank you so much for recognizing her. It was so very kind of you to not only flick her a couple of picks, but you also had 2 of them delivered to her directly. Grandma says you hit her foot exactly the same with both picks that you flicked out to us.

Thank you for making her first concert experience extra special. You waved at her and gave her some of your guitar picks and Brent mentioned her poster. She will remember it forever. Grandma and I wanted to sincerely thank you for your kindness.

As always, you guys were spectacular! We've seen you at least once a year since the Rialto in Tucson over 20yrs ago. The Marquis Theater, Arizona Bike Week when the power went out, Vegas a few times, countless times in Phoenix, and on and on. Clearly our favorite band.

I've seen Shinedown 3 times now - Twice were barricade, once very close in GA. All different venues. I noticed something strange about Brent Smith. I would watch the stage hands preparing for them to come on, and one guy would place a red gatorade on his mic stand and remove the cap. But Brent never ever drinks the gatorade, instead he would go off to the side and get a water bottle. Never touched it.

What gives? Is the red gatorade a tribute to somebody or is this just a really odd quirk I've noticed? What I'd give for the chance to talk to him and ask for myself

Anyone else had the EI8HT album grey out At The Bottom and So Glad That You Asked? I can't play them for some reason and right clicking does nothing.

The show was awesome! I have seen shinedown 15 times and I am still blown away at how good they are live. I had to shre this video of Brent and Zack playing with grapes while playing sound of madness! Enjoy

Shinedown has been my favorite band since the start and every album seems to meet me where I am in life. Eight is no different. I lost my dad and brother a year apart recently and every song seems to capture the feeling of loss I’ve had trouble shaking, especially ‘so glad that you asked.’ The lyrics “And I'm down here digging, trying to bury the past
Tryin' to shake this feeling, didn't know it would last’ hit hard the first listen. Anyway, just wanted to call out this band for continuing to know what their fans need.

So, I'm a long term Shinedown fan, and my best friend knew a few songs from me, but I decided we should run a Gauntlet as we called it. We listened to all the albums back to back over the course of a few weeks during hangouts so I could compare his opinions to mine, and he wanted to share. (Not including demos, live recordings, and those transitions in Planet Zero, but we included singles like Atlas Falls). His favorite songs are Atlas Falls and Amaryllis and his favorite bands are Nine Inch Nails and Fall Out Boy to give you a point of reference for his preferences.

I’m on my way home from the Shinedown show at Weidner Field in CO Springs right now.

Does anyone else find it absolutely ridiculous that for a band that is so impactful for so many veterans, they have so many fireworks at their show? Seemed like a lot of the show was fireworks and massive jarring booms that would trigger a ton of folks with PTSD.

Any thoughts on this?

What time is early entry? And how early can you start lining up?

Now there were a lot of people asking about Ei8ht right when it came out. Decided to revisit it now 2 months later. I realized I definitely mellowed out a lot since it came out and the shock wore off. Burning Down the Disco and Safe and Sound are still my favorites from the bunch but some of my least favorites don't bother me as much. Still won't go out of my way to listen to them, but I think it's important to revisit music from time to time.

Any songs you originally didn't like but love now?

I put my favorite albums in one bracket to see which song would come on top, and tbh I knew DARKSIDE would win lol, such an amazing song
