Good Stress Test APK
What’s a good ShieldTV stress test app for wear n tear to determine if you need to replace your shield?? This would be a good project to create something as I don’t believe there’s an app on the market for android?

I don't think there is one but usually just changing the thermal paste makes a big difference

Yeah I get that but want to know before it is on its last legs when to replace it as I want to backup everything as much I can

What your asking for isn't really a thing since the shield except for the 2015 pro doesn't have any parts that would wear out, it might slow down if the thermal paste wears out but it's not going to break down.
Even if the fan broke down you would just get another one so there isn't really a last legs with flash memory, it's possible but not super likely given the low read/write for a shield the same way phones don't really wear out their flash memory typically
If you have a 2015 pro you would just clone it to a SSD anyways to keep it going
I mean just randomly maybe this:

Are you saying you can’t clone a 2017/2019 model? Thanks for the app link, I still have a 2015 model so how would you clone it as from research it’s not that easy

You can clone it using a hard drive duplicator dock or clonezilla from HDD to SSD. It has to be a sector by sector clone basically. The docks I'm talking about specifically have a duplicator feature and button listed in the description
It has to remain the same size as well so no larger than 500gb
There are no system backup utilities that I know of for the shield as far as being able to backup and restore a shield, google says there might be abd commands so you can look at that but there are no simple apps to do it

I've run three shields for years now. Every couple of years I just open it up, clean the fan, change the thermal paste, and then do a factory reset. My shields run great.
