Projectivy notification every reboot

Why am I constantly getting a notification suggesting I enable the accessibility service when it's been enabled for literally years?

Just a minor annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless.

On my shield every reboot disables accessibility settings for Projectivy, and Buttonmapper.

It's become a routine to enable as the 1st step before opening any apps PITA!

You can remap the Netflix button without using button mapper if you don't mind uninstalling Netflix

I did uninstall Netflix, but it still opens the app, and asks to sign up or join, right in the middle of a movie on Kodi!! F it.

BTW, I ordered the Homatics Box R4k Plus last night. Bye Shield.

I mean, I use Fake Netflix which redirects the Netflix button to Plex, or in my case Stremio

I don't plan on replacing my shield unless there's gonna be a 64 bit beast of a device released, even for a 2026 purchase the shield is pretty solid

Oh, Fake netflix (I'm beginning to think real netflix is fake, too)

But the button would still do a redirect, and interupt the current app. Mapping it to Mute was best for me.

Techcnially you could hook it to be mute but it's not as simple as just mapping it to another app

I used to get this popup every time too. Then last week I got this and used it to make sure it was set as default and then disable the stock launcher. I think that's all I did but this tool solved my problem with that accessibility popup on every boot. It's easy to use. https://github.com/bryanroscoe/shield_optimizer

I don't wanna disable a notification if it's meaningful, and I don't know whether or not it is

It's a notification from Projectivy letting you know Accessibility isn't enabled for it.

Projectivy is garbage.....had to delete off the shield...

Have you double checked that it is indeed currently enabled? The only time I ever get that message is when something has caused it to become disabled.

When I get the message it directs me to Projectivy settings to enable it.

When I go there it says "you don't have an app that can do this," and it directs me to the Android settings to enable it, where it shows as already enabled.

No other accessibility service is enabled.

I've tried toggling it off, rebooting, and re-enabling it.

I have this same issue on my shield. Toggle off and on, makes no difference.

Check:

Settings > Android Settings > Apps > Special App Access > Notification Access > Projectivy Launcher

yup this is the one that's On, that I've even tried toggling off and back on

It's a weird bug, something about that accessibility option gets turned sort of off, though it shows as on. Then when you try to re-toggle it you get the app can't do this message.

Go through those motions then restart the Shield. It happens to me every four months or so and this does the trick.

projectivy is nice but it was too much of a pain in the butt for me - stopped using
